I watched only the first half. And this might be the game I truly give up on him. He just shoots the ball whenever he gets it. Looks like a low iq bench player with great athleticism.
Hard to believe. Does that mean he just continued to be a blackhole but somehow made the shots? Edit: oh I guess it is just a typo. not Cam but came, lol
Nah, he did not settle for jumpers but handled the ball and took it to the rack against 2-3 Grizzlies. He helped extending the lead ....but yeah he is probably not getting a big contract from Stone.
It wouldn't surprise me, it's well known that he modelled his game after Melo. It's why it's always been hilarious seeing people want to cast him as a 1 guard. He came up as a 3/4, he's a play finisher, not a creator. If the NBA hadn't mostly moved away from wings playing in the high post I could easily see him developing into the type of "pick your poison" offensive threat Melo was in his prime as a scorer.
He has so much potential but it is worrisome seeing how much of a black hole he can be on offense. I was observing him when they had him in during the last 2 min of garbage time if he would defer to the other guys who never get playing time, but when he got the ball he was still looking to score each time. If we're going to have him in a JR Smith type role, he's really going to have to improve his 3 point shot. Otherwise, like some of the other posters have mentioned, he could very well become Terrence Williams 2.0 (btw, holy crap, what a throwback, I remember the hype of those years as we prayed T-Will would become our next T Mac ...and damn....I'm old)
He tries to score every time because he is the most unstoppable player on the team. He just needs time to develop. He is wgat the Rockets are missing. A possible superstar scorer. Green is NOT that guy.
Man has tunnel vision and just overpower folks while driving towards the rim/cleaning up the glass. Until man learns to share the ball, he's not gonna b a ball handler.
He screams play finisher. Though one might wonder if this might have been how Jaylen Brown looked when he was 20.
He usually is a play finisher...one way or the other. 12 shots,a trip to the line and a turnover in 14 minutes is impressive.
No he has no basketball IQ. Doesn't it get old being wrong? I actually think that you do it just for get a reaction
I dunno, Seth Curry shut him down 1v1 in the post the last game. Probably needs to develop a few more moves before you can draw plays for it.
Looks like an off-the-bench microwave scorer with tunnel vision. Nothing wrong with that, by the way, I’m just far more invested in our other 6 prospects.
I think Cam is being told to be aggressive by coaching staff and take shots. He does have a tunnel vision but coaches are telling him to put up shots in his 15 minutes of game time which may make his game appear more selfish. Check out Ime’s post game interview and this is exactly what he expects from Cam plus defense/rebounding,
