Calvin Murphy's single season FT % .9581 which has stood since the 1980-81 season is on the line. Jose Calderon is on pace to beat it... he's shot 107-109 FTs this season at a .982 clip. That's pretty amazing. 1. Jose Calderon .9817 2008-09* 2. Calvin Murphy .9581 1980-81 3. Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf .9563 1993-94 4. Jeff Hornacek .9500 1999-00 5. Mark Price .9475 1992-93 6. Mark Price .9474 1991-92 7. Rick Barry .9467 1978-79 8. Ray Allen .9457 2008-09* 9. Steve Nash .9456 2008-09* 10. Ernie DiGregorio .9452 1976-77 11. Chris Mullin .9390 1997-98 12. Mo Williams .9355 2008-09* Check out this season's elite FT shooters! 4 in the top 12 of all time! Rockets are hosting the Raptors on 3/3. You fans who are going to be at the arena need to heckle the heck out of Jose. Any ideas of how to throw him off his FTs at the game? What would you write on your poster? or what would you yell at him?
wow Calderon is sick to be shooting this kind of percentage. I am anxious to know how many shots did Calvin take in his .95 shooting season. I think if he shot and played twice as much then it is still a better record to me.
107-109 is still pretty amazing. that means he gets to the line about 1.5 times a game. that should be enough.
How many did Calvin take? Tinman... paging tinman. Actually what am I talking about... lemme check Clutch's pages. 206 out of 215 http://www.clutchfans.net/players/calvin_murphy/
It is time to bring Calvin back to commentators booth for this years playoffs. Calvin's comments mixed with Artest's classic comments will rule!!!!! Les, take your foot off the brake.
