The former Houston Rockets star was scheduled to answer the charges in court Tuesday, but his attorney asked that the hearing be postponed and a judge Monday reset the arraignment for May 12. Murphy has claimed his innocence, but has yet to be indicted by a grand jury on six charges filed in March. ADVERTISEMENT Murphy, 55, was a guard for the Rockets from 1970 to 1983 and was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1993. He has taken a leave of absence from his analyst duties on Rockets telecasts while he fights three charges of indecency with a child and three charges of aggravated sexual assault of a child. The five daughters, now adults, claim the abuse occurred from 1988-91, according to an affidavit filed by authorities. Murphy contends the claims by his daughters stem from family discord related to a battle over money.
do you guys think he'll wear his pimp suits or do you think he'll tone it down. Can't remember the last time i saw him dressed in a normal suit.
he'll definitely tone down. it's not entertainment it's his reputation and life on the line man. i hope everything is over quickly.
I fnd it intersting that we haven't heard about any other allegations against him. At the time this all went down, they made it sound like we should expect 5 other counties to bring charges any minute.
