Last 11 points by Lilliard. 2FT after Mook fouled him after pick and roll set Lillard free. 3PT on Wing pick and roll. Douglas went over the pick and and could not recover. 2FT on loose ball foul by Lin after Harden lost ball after being knocked to ground by Mathews. Lay up against Parsons after Lin and Parsons. Contested jumper against Lin. No one got torched. Lillard just made some incredible plays.
Sorry, I based my post off of Clutch's tweet. Lillard actually scored 8 pts while Lin was on the floor in the last 4 mins or so.
um most LOFs are not even posting...just reading plus its not like their opinion is different from the majority consensus... so nice of you to go in this thread with blinders on and pretend its just LOFs posting this opinion
I'm just wondering what you're basing this on? Every single statistic out there suggests Lin is a very good defender. Is it just how it looks to you? Maybe you need to learn more about basketball.
I'm in a bad mood because the rockets lost. Then I come read this drivel about people demanding Sampson's firing. Why? Not because the team lost. Because Jeremy Lin didn't get to play Jesus tonight. Even Clutch agrees you're being irrational. By the way, AdrenaLINe, tell me more about these other non Lin homers you referenced.
Honestly, do you really think it was a good coaching move leaving Lin out the ENTIRE OT? After the game he had tonight? Because this back up coach though Douglas was "a little better" on defense? A player, they paid a lot of money to get, who needs to experience close games like this? Whether you are lin fan or not, you can't possibly believe that was the right move. It's like leaving Asik out the last minutes against Miami. This coach is a moron
he said he used TD the entire OT because he was A LITTLE BIT better defender than lin. Not a lot. A little bit. That completely justifies taking him out for the entire OT when he finally had his breakout game. Yup that is our coach
Lin gambles too much on D and statistics lie. Steals don't mean anything if he's gambling and losing. On top of that he was getting destroyed by the other team in the fourth. He needed to learn his lesson. That is why he got benched. That is the NBA and that's how coaches make a point. You bench a player when he doesn't perform. This isn't 2k where you play people when you feel like it. You have to discipline players for their failure with some tough love.
Jeremy Lin was benched the ENTIRE OT, when he was playing a very good game. We were up 16 and the Blazers made a great run behind Batum and Lillard. But this wasn't on Lin. They just played great. Clutch hasn't said anything about us being irrational. And definitely not tonight. You aren't Clutch and you don't speak for Clutch, so get your head out of your @ss.
Didn't watch the game but it's weird to leave out your starting PG in OT completely, especially when there's not a particular 5 man group that had a huge comeback or something.
Lin did a good job on Lillard. Lillard just made his shots .. and you gotta give him credit for that. Sampson's explanation is a cop out. If anyone of us make a mistake like that in real life we'd get fired. Sampson is not a very smart coach. A dishonarable one at that (hx NCAA recruiting violations). ****ing *******
