I think 75% of the times I get up in the morning I think of a reason I could call in sick.

Does anyone deal with tis struggle each morning.?

I mean I really spend a minute or two thinking of a reason that I could miss work almost every morning.

You might want to think about a new job. I've had that feeling before - hating to wake up because it means I'll have to go to "that job".

Life's not all about happiness but it's much too short to be miserable.

Of course if you are a few years from retirement then just tough it out.

I get paid for the sick days I don't use, so that's plenty of motivation for me to get up every morning.

My motivation for not calling in sick is so I don't have to hear from my managers or HR that I've called in sick too much, even though I have not used all my sick days. Hell, even when they made a mistake in counting my sick days, instead of owning up to their mistake, they decided to use it as an opportunity to b**** about me taking my sick time.

Heh, I do this almost every day and I like my job...I just hate getting out of bed. Once I get out of the shower I'm good to go, it's just that rolling out of bed part. That game is too hard.

No doubt. I am about to change jobs (again) and it is a struggle to get out of bed. It is mainly because I don;t give myself enough time to sleep.

The feeling comes and goes with me....depends on how deep the BS is at work at the time.

Mine is always a getting out of bed or wanting to hang with the wife thing. While my job is pretty boring, I have great co-workers and it's relatively stress-free.

    I don't get sick days so I don't have a choice.

See this guy agrees with me.

I like my job. I think I just don't get enough sleep a day. I only get about 5 hours. It is my own fault.

Have some kids, at my office the ladies can get away with murder with calling in as long as they blame their kids for it  It pisses me off to no end..

    That's funny... :D

If you're doing this, don't you need a new job...I like my job and enjoy going to work, well, because I like to get paid...but what if I really was sick? I guess i'd rather use my days when I really need them...

don't get me wrong, there will be days to when sleeping in is required, but then I feel i've wasted a day because all I did was sleep...

    Slacker! :)

Get a new job or get motivated somehow. I never had problems getting up from bed to go to jobs that I even hated. The only time I ever called in sick was when I was really sick (that I recall anyway... :))

I've seen people take off for days at a time for their pets. I know, I know... to each their own. :)

Damn...I have almost three months worth of sick time that I'll never get paid for unless I use it. I need some kind of really long disease to knock me out a couple monhts. When is that bird flu epidemic supposed to get going?

I have old man disease- I get up at 6:00am every day without an alarm. Missing work as a teacher causes more headaches than it is worth. Oh..and I have a two week break coming up on Friday! :p
