    he's still the same player as last year. a decent pg, but nothing special. i was one of his biggest defenders last season (since v-span clearly sucked), and it seemed like 95% of the board hated the man. He has a couple good pre season games and everyone starts to love the him.

    Rafer's poor decision making and low basketball IQ almost lost this game. I'm not saying Stevie's the answer (don't think he is to this particular problem) and Mike James isn't and Luther Head certainly isn't.

    Watching the earlier game, Steve Blake is the guy we should have gone after...a smart PG.

    I don't understand how much more of Rafer's poor play people have to see before they demand he be benched. The guy is just not a good player.

    hahahah, all you Rafer lovers. Years of regular season and playoff failures truly prove that a couple of games in the preseason cannot erase reality. Rafer is by far the worst starting PG in the NBA. decision-making horrible, defense against Fisher horrible. Lets see a rotation of James-SF3-Brooks at the PG!

    The Rockets outlasted the Lakers in spite of Rafer and your poor internet etiquette, shouting and use of bright bright red isn't going to change that.

    just wish they would fall in the hoop

    so exactly why did we get James and Francis? to watch more teardrops?

    At least, Steve can dribble and he is much stronger than Rafer, also he is a very good free throw shooter, the best of Rockets.

    Rafer really sucks but unfortunately we don't have many options.
    James is the only other option. SF won't make a difference.

    Conclusion, we are not much different than last year :mad:

    rafer was rafer, he is who i thought he was.
    not at all defending him

    but james should have made those fts, period. but i'm glad he's on the rockets
