Hell, I guess that's it. I caught the last 3 seconds, literally. FoxSportsNet, I believe at 6:30 and 10:30 (and I think that's central standard time). Rome said he's gonna ask him about his future or lack thereof in Sactown. Granted, we're all probably tired of hearing the double-talk, but of course I wanna hear something slip...just some worthless clue to which I can overreact. Obviously, he's gonna cover his bases and close no door, especially not at this point in the season. Still, I'll try to watch tomorrow. Can't help myself. ------------------
I'd like to start a poll on how many teams C-Webb will intimate he wants to play for, including Sactown - I say 5. ------------------ The Rockets will be the NBA champions. Believe.
I don't know what intimate means, but I guess 3 not counting SAC. ------------------ "Chucky who? I thought we were talking about basketball?" Charles Barkley

It should be interesting. I love when these guys double-talk. Did anyone see any of the interviews David Stern granted during the All-Star weekend? The guy spewed more **** than a busted sewer pipe. But Webber should be benevolent in his double-talk. Guys and gals, I really think we have the inside track on Webber. Wishful thinking, maybe. He might have a change of heart about his hometown, but I doubt it. I think Webber will sign here. Detroit, with $17 million in cap room, can and should sign Ratliff (opt-out; he played there before) and Mo (hometown). Given a high draft pick, Detroit can grab a nice small forward. So Detroit won't be sucking when we sign C-Webb. Feel free to argue. But in any case, I'll watch tomorrow and see what Webb has to say then post the tidbits. ------------------
Thats got to be the funniest euphemism I've ever heard. ------------------ "The Holocaust was an obscene period in our nation's history. I mean in this century's history. I think he is going to flat out say: "I will go to Houston".."can you dig it!?" ------------------ Sometimes you gotta do the next best thing!
Can someone post the link where you can read the interview? ------------------ President of the Steve Francis, Jamal Crawford,Larry Hughes, and Charles Woodson fan club.
C-Webb is gone. If he really was staying he wouldn't say "I have been in the middle of the road on all the questions." If you like Sac, why be middle of the road. Its not a negotions thing b/c he will get the max wherever he goes, more w/ Sac. I saw the interview @ 6:30 and he is outta there. ------------------ "Chucky who? Colby, what did he say? Anything worthwhile you can mention? FoxSportsNet here was showing a g.d. Chicago hockey game (I live in Iowa City) so I'll have to wait for 10:30 and hope for a re-broadcast. ------------------
webber basically said he would wait until the end of the season to even think about free agency. he said there are some advantages to staying and there are some advantages to leaving. ------------------ http://www.democrats.com
When they asked Webber about the things to do in Sacramento, he pretty much affirmed the ESPN report. He said everything nicely, but he did talk about "being a single guy with no girlfriend, etc." and stuff like that that insinuated that he did want to go to a bigger market, bigger city, etc. And at the end he did add a statement like "but if we're winning basketball games and I can stay more focused then that can be good too." He said a lot throughout the interview that made him sound like he wanted out-- and then add a little statement at the end in favor of Sacramento each time pretty much to cover all bases and not to flat out say I'm gone. But I'll tell you one thing-- that did not sound like a man who was content in Sacramento. Not at all. Also, he wouldn't even say if winning a championship would make him want to stay in Sacramento more. If the Kings won a championship and he's still not sure he'd stay, that should say a lot. ------------------ "We're not settling for just getting in the playoffs." "We want a higher seed.
