    All NBA contracts are guaranteed. This is why they picked up Wesley from New Orleans...

    If we had search, I can guarantee you I could find a number of people maligning Ward right now were also pining for his signing around 2003 so that we could have a "real" point guard. Be careful what you wish for.

    I'll confess that I wanted him on the Rockets last season before he signed with the Spurs. But when I saw how he was losing playing time to Jason Hart, I realized he was done. Why JVG and CD never figured this out is beyond me.

    Thank goodness Les and CD waited it out so they wouldn't 'overpay' for guys like Damon Jones. Whew!

    Les Alexander is mightily upset. This dude is signing checks for a guy who came on behest of the coach. I must admit that I was satisfied with Ward coming here thinking Damon Jones was trying to jam up the Rockets for a big contract. Damon Jones got a contract smaller than Ward. I also didn't know Ward's knee was crap.

    CD pretty much just said on the radio that charlie may be out for the season.. He talked about how he is happy they got sura and mutombo... but did not say a word about Ward
