    Big C-USA games this weekend:

    1) Houston -17

UH is a big favorite and needs to beat Rice to become bowl eligible.

    2) UTEP -7.5

UTEP can wrap up the West Division with a win over SMU in Dallas. Go SMU!

C-USA Championship presented by Xbox 360 (why is MS sponsoring C-USA?) is on Dec. 3rd at noon on ESPN. UTEP or Tulsa will face UCF for a trip to the Liberty Bowl.

Hopefully the Miners won't pull a choke job like they did last week and we'll wrap up the CUSA West title. Should be a good game, SMU has been decent this year. Gonna be a ton of Miners fans at Ford Stadium, though, including yours truly yelling his lungs out!

heh. C-USA. Glad TCU left it.

Too bad the Mountain West isn't much better. Just another conference for them to dominate.

Houston will win, but I don't think I can recall the Cougars of this era covering as a heavy favorite against any other team besides Army.

What's sad is that if Louisville, TCU, Cincy, and USF had stayed put.. CUSA could look like this

    Louisville
    Cincinatti
    TCU
    UCF
    UTEP
    Tulane
    Memphis
    Marshall
    UAB
    Southern Miss
    Houston
    Tulsa

That conference would easily better than the Big East, the Mountain West, and MAC.

And aside of Texas, it would probably be on par with the Big XII.

Heh, that's interesting. C-USA might actually be respected then.

C-USA has 3 bowl eligible teams (UTEP, UCF, Tulsa) with a possible 4 more becoming bowl eligible (UH, UAB, Memphis, and S. Miss) this weekend, but only 5 bowl affiliations.

I can't believe UCF went from 0-11 last year to having the best conference record this year. I haven't seen them play so I can't predict what will happen in the C-USA championship game. I'll give them the edge at home.

    My bowl predictions:

    Liberty: C-USA Champ
    GMAC: C-USA Runner up

This is where it gets interesting. FW, Hawaii, and NO will have tough decisions to make.

If ISU beats KU and UH beats Rice, does the Houston Bowl invite UH?

    Now 28-18 Cougar High...

I have mixed feelings about this game. I want Hatfield out for next season, but I also want to beat the 3rd ward prepsters.

With 6 teams eligible and 5 bowl bids, I wouldn't start celebrating right now. UH may have to find a game not affiliated with C-USA.
