Sad news for the kid with a torn MCL, will be out prolly till May according to ESPN. Lakers no longer invincible and I think if we have the same mentality as the 22 game streak, we could get the #1 seed. This team cannot fold, gotta take advantage as we start to get all our guys back, and welcome to our world Lakers, injuries blow !!!!
It said only 8-12 weeks http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_y...nYcB?slug=txlakersbynumhurt&prov=st&type=lgns
8-12 weeks covers just about the rest of the regular season, so if he comes back it wont be until playoffs
sad that he is out yes but why should we care when we have problems of our own?? And if he is out til May then thats not out for the season.
That's BS. The Rockets dont need to take advantage of the Lakers' misfortune. The Rockets will kick the Lakers' ass in playoffs whether they are with or without Bynum.
Why should we care if Bynum is out?? For one, he was having up and down games anyway so he's not like a real big piece to the lakers. The lakers made it to the finals without him so its not going to make much of a difference.
I hope this will stop people from zero Yao as the only injury prone big man. Bynum been out most of last year and now this.
Yep. The prognosis is very optimistic IMO. If he is able to return, he won't be nearly as explosive as he was prior to the injury.
Gawd he was giving me amazing numbers in my fantasy league...now he's down....again. So sad. But not for the Rockets! Shouldn't this be in the other forum though?
Realistically the Rockets are the dark horse to contend in the WCF. This probably benefits the Spurs or Hornets more.
The only way this helps the Rockets if they can get in the top four seeds for the playoffs. With 34 games to go, I'm not sure we can get there. Especially with our last 8 games of the season are against playoff teams.
Not always. I had ACL and was able to recover FULLY (meaning 100% - hey Tracy i'm talking about you) without any surgery. I had it in the same place as Bynum aswell. Mine took 6 full months to recover while it would have took 10 months if I had surgery. I guess MCL is probably not as bad as ACL. I don't really know. But either way, I think if he wants to fully recover, he needs to take the season off. A friend of mine had ACL and didn't rehab or respect his deadline and he has been almost walking with a cane since then and is playing on having a second surgery!!!
