I need to buy a pair of plane tickets (1 adult and 1 child) from NYC to Houston. They need to come to Houston before May 24th.

Usually when I buy plane tickets, I have some time on my hands (more than 14 days) and as a result, I get a pretty decent deal. However, since the amount of time is short, the prices are up the wazoo (about $800 per ticket).

Does anyone know of a good place (online or travel agent) that could get me a good deal on this trip. Also, the flight has to be non-stop.

    Thanks :)

its gonna be hard to get those non-stop, but if you fly American Airlines from NYC to Houston with a stop in New Orleans, you can get two tickets for $408 per ticket if you fly on the 23rd and return on the 27th...

    how old is the kid?

The kid is 2 and unfortunately, the tickets HAVE to be round-trip. There are actually 2 kids (one is 2 and the other is 1, but the 1 year old won't need a ticket), and she doesn't want to have to change planes with those kids (knowing those kids, I don't blame her). I totally agree with you though in that so much money can be saved with just one stop.

Does Priceline allow you to specify a non-stop flight? I didn't think they did.
