Me and some of my friends are wanting to go to Knoxville, TN on November 10 to watch the Arkansas-Tennessee game. This will be our first time going to a big time college football game and we figure there would be no better place to go than 108,000 capacity Neyland Stadium to watch to good SEC teams fight it out.

My question is, would it be better to buy some tickets now or wait until a month or few weeks before the game. Right now the tickets are rather expensive but not too bad. There are several routes this could go, I figure. 1. Arkansas and Tennessee have sub-par years and the tickets will be really cheap by the time the game rolls around. Arkansas could have another surprise run this season and Tennessee could do very well in the SEC East so the tickets would sell at a premium. One of the teams could do very badly and again the tickets would sell for less probably. There are probably a few other routes this could take but I just named the ones off the top of my head.

Like I said, we have never been to a big-time college football game and the only thing we have been to is an Arkansas State game and needless to say you can get in free to those. That's why I am asking the members on the board. I know some of you have dealt with a better choice of games when many Texas teams were and have been excelling and you have probably dealt with purchasing tickets yourselves.

So, what should I do? Should I buy the tickets now or wait until a later date?

Wait till gametime (unless you find face value tickets at some point) and then you can find tickets on the secondary market that will fall. Only time I can remember this not happining was when Texas played USC and it was still 1,000 at game time.

Or the old 20 bucks to the guy at the door and squeez into the student section will work all the time.

Hey I got into the super bowl and mlb all star game for free here and I have droped cash at the door to get in other events it's the way to go my man

I was working a pre-game party in the Reliant Center, now after going through intense security hundreds of yards outside the Reliant Stadium complex and showing them my "non stadium credential" I was in Reliant Center 6-7 hours before kick off. Now my only job was to take female models hands and lead them off and on mechanical bulls so after a while things started winding down and I thought I would walk outside and see what it took to get in.

I went up to one lady and asked "is this the credential needed to get in?" she said no and showed me the one I needed. It was the same size and the back looked the same the only difference was the front said Stadium pass and was a different color. At this point I knew I was in because security was focused in on folks who were coming into the entire complex hundreds of yards away and I just saw 5 star worker after 5 star worker.

I walked till I saw some dude who looked high as hell, I flashed him my pass and he said enjoy the game. I walked around and stood during the concert and noticed a small section of open seats I asked the usher why they were still open and the guy said it was media overflow so I said I was with the Houston Super Bowl commitee and the dude said here take a seat. Hung out with a guy that produced the pre-game show for CBS and really enjoyed one of the greatest if not the greatest super bowl ever!

The company I worked for during this event was this guys production company that threw parties for large groups we used to get wasted at all these events and hell during that week we did a pre-party with Joe Montana and Peyton Manning. I got Joe wasted on Shiner's and red snappers.

A lot of places this will not work. At a lot of college stadiums (Texas A&M is an example), they had such a problem with students squeezing their friends into their section that now you have to show an attendant your ticket stub when you go to your seats, even after going to get a soda.

That would be cool except I will be rooting for the visiting team so I am pretty sure I don't need to stand in the student section being a fan of UA.
