Steve Francis Announces IPO On Wall Street Sports
Rockets Rookie Announces Public Offering, Promotional Relationship With Leading Sports and Financial Entertainment Company, Sandbox.com

Houston - The most exciting rookie in the NBA is going public - on the Wall Street Sports stock exchange. Shares of Steve Francis (WSS: SFRA) became available at www.wallstreetsports.com on November 9, 1999, at an initial public offering price of $20.

One of the primary sites on the Sandbox.com network of sports and financial games, Wall Street Sports combines the allure and excitement of sports with the challenge of competition of the stock market. Members buy and sell shares of professional athletes in a real-time environment with the goal of building the most valuable portfolios for fun and prizes. Fans who log on to the site can now buy and sell shares of the electrifying Rockets point guard by using his Wall Street Sports symbol: "SFRA."

In conjunction with the IPO, Sandbox.com is pleased to announce a multifaceted promotional relationship with Francis. The second overall pick in the 1999 NBA draft will take part in Wall Street Sports and Sandbox.com advertising and promotional campaigns and sign memorabilia to be offered as prizes for games and contests on the network of sites.

"Steve Francis is clearly one of the most exciting young athletes in all of professional sports," said Larry Cotter, President and CEO of Sandbox.com. "With our announcement today, not only will virtual shares of Steve become available on Wall Street Sports, but our members will gain the excitement of competing for the chance to win exclusive Steve Francis prizes."

Among those prizes will be the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to go one-on-one against Steve Francis following the NBA season (see attached rules and description). Additionally, Steve Francis-signed jerseys, basketballs and other items will go up for grabs in promotions throughout the Sandbox.com network.

Demand for shares of Steve Francis on WSS will undoubtedly be high, as the Maryland native has already been touted as a top Rookie of the Year candidate. Francis may even threaten the one-day price gain record following an IPO. NBA Finals MVP Tim Duncan holds the current mark, jumping 81 percent from $20 to $36.25 following his much-anticipated IPO in 1997.

"I'm looking forward to following my stock on Wall Street Sports to see how high it can go," said Francis. "I think it will be interesting and fun to see how the fans react to my IPO and the other games I am involved with on the site."

Unfortunately (or fortunately, if you were smart enough to buy) he's up to $80 a share now. Let me know when he splits. [IMG]

Playing Steve one on one, hmmmmm ...

Do I start out with my jock around my ankles and save Steve the trouble?

Do I get to bring a camera?

    No Worries -

"Do I start out with my jock around my ankles and save Steve the trouble?"

Exactly what kind of one-on-one are we talking about here? [IMG]

I'm starting to get a little 'worried' myself...

    No Worries,

No, you don't get to bring a camera if your jock's going to be around your ankles... [IMG]
