I may be one of the only ones, but I just didn't get it. This movie was not funny. It wasn't a terrible movie. I guess because I had heard so much about it until I finally saw it a week ago, I expected the most hilarious movie ever. It was simply a huge let down for me.
It's not that the movie is THAT laugh-out-loud funny, but you gotta find the humor in how pathetic their lives are. That's what was really funny to me. The movie has a lot of 1-liners you can use, too. I don't think it lived up to the hype either, but it was still pretty funny if you look at it the right way.
Ya it is, didnt we have a thread awhile back a few pages long about Napoleon Dynamite? I think the general opinion was either you loved it or hated it.
