Today I was trying to pick wifey some sort of designer bag, purse or whatever, and this saleschick tryed to pressure me with some bag that was way out of my budget. She actually told me that if I didn't buy this bag that I wasn't very smart, I stormed out like a dumbass... ...on second thought maybe I'm not very smart... since then I've thought of all kinds of cool stuff to say to her. I'm usually pretty good off the top but this girl shocked me. b****
lately salespeople are getting more and more pushy. i cant go to a store without having at least 10 people ask me if i need anything. the problem is most of them dont know how to leave you alone....if they would only ask once it would be ok but they keep pestering you. i think you did the best thing by just walking away because if you said something she would have thought that you were an ******* and she didnt do anything wrong..but by walking out you made it clear that she was being the ass. at least thats what i think.
Did this happen to be at the Galleria? If so, tell me the name of the girl and what store she was at.
In that kind of situation, I usually say something like this: You know what you look like to me, with your good bag and your cheap shoes? You look like a rube. A well scrubbed, hustling rube with a little taste. Good nutrition has given you some length of bone, but you're not more than one generation from poor white trash, are you, Agent Starling? And that accent you've tried so desperately to shed? Pure West Virginia. What's your father, dear? Is he a coal miner? Does he stink of the lamp? You know how quickly the boys found you... all those tedious sticky fumblings in the back seats of cars...while you could only dream of getting out... getting anywhere... getting all the way to the FBI. It usually goes over pretty well.
Que - saleschick - "if you don't buy this you aren't that smart" you - "Obviously not because If I was, I would go to the street corner and ask your w**** sister when I can get a knock-off of this purse for 1/8th of the price."
The internet is the only place where average joes can get decent service anymore. Truly, one of the great societal declines over the last half-century.
One of my co workers got fired for telling a customer that a product he wanted to buy was crap and that if he didnt want crap he should go with the much better upgraded version. Little to his puny mind the guy was buying his first computer and had saved up for the past 3 years to do so. the customer got so upset he wrote in the next day to the manager and my co worker got fired and the customer got a brand new computer free
