So yesterday in the parking lot of a Home Depot on I-10, a white car drove up, threw out a dog and sped off. Little fella tried to run after his owners, to no avail. he came over to us, all covered in dirt, ticks, etc.

Our 2 dogs were adopted so we called the lady we adopted them from and she sent us to her vet so we could get discounts and is currently setting up a petfinder link, but maybe someone on here is looking for a dog? There would be an adoption fee, not huge, don't know how much right now.

We've named him Buster Douglas. He is approximately 4 month old male, jack russell mix of some kind. maybe some chihuahua, heeler, something else in there, so he's only 12 lbs. We're still keeping him separate from our dogs for now per vet recommendation until Monday, but every time he sees them, he seems like he wants to play. And he definitely loves sitting on laps. He doesn't like to be put away for now, but understandably has some issues being left alone.

i can't seem to find a way to get these pictures bigger, but here are some below. i think it looks bigger if you click on it.

please email me through the board if you are interested. he's a really cute little fella.

You should have named him Jerry Quarry or Lou Savarese.

    :)

How cruel of them to just do something like that.... How dominating of a species do we have to be to treat dogs like that???

Very cute dog. It's horrible that there are people out there who treat animals like that... :(

That is horrible. Big props to you JayZ for taking the dog in and trying to find it a home. Hopefully this little guy's story will have a happy ending after all. :)

Looks mostly Jack Russell. Awesome, smart dogs. What's his disposition? How tall is he? Is he housebroken?

he's definitely small, but then i have somewhat larger dogs, so relative to other jack russell's, no idea? I'd say about a foot tall. he's only 12 lbs.

but yes, considering the state he was in when we picked him up, I'm very surprised by how quickly he is adapting to being a mostly indoor dog. he got to meet the others and gets along real well. he may not understand the word sit, but he quickly figured out that he wasn't getting the treat until he sat. And he hasn't gone to the bathroom in the house or his kennel once yet. so seems housebroken, for sure.

again, the only "issue" i see from his personality is that he hates being alone. he'll quite down at night, barks a bit after being put up but then is good till the morning, but he's attached himself to my wife and doesn't like it when she goes into another room, though now being out with the other dogs, he is better at that.

i think he'd be great for basically any good owner. with dogs or cats, or without. with children, or without. he's real cute. once we get the petfinder link ready, i'll post it.

Adorable...if I were in Houston I'd seriously think about it. I'm looking into getting a small dog actually.
