I know what you mean, ChenZhen. I have a friend who is visiting in Taiwan right now, and he is very nervous. According to him, all the buzz over there is that they think the US is doing this just so that Taiwan will go to war with China, which would weaken China slightly, allowing us to go in and clean up... needless to say, I don't like the sound of this, and I really don't think it is a good idea to go to war with China. ------------------ Watch out for gay Limbo Dancers.
If the US got in a war with China, don't think your life won't suck whether you are drafted or not. I also wouldn't assume that the American streak of having all their wars on foreign soil would go unbroken. I hope Taiwan isn't really thinking that the US would actually commit to an actual all-out war with China over their little island. More importantly, I hope Bush isn't thinking that! No matter what side you take on this, there is little reason for the President to be grandstanding on Good Morning America. imo, he got suckered by a journalist into saying that for fear of not sounding tough on crime, or something.
HeyP I thought the same thing! I was watching this morning and Matt Lauer (sp?) set him up. But the way he backtracked on CNN was a study in spin! Can you imagine being a spin doctor for this guy?
