Well, it's hardly a surprise that a liberal immediately throws a negative qualifier onto the news.

    Great job, homeland security!

    What are you talking about?

    Please re-read my post.

I'm happy the attack was thwarted....I question why this news was released 4 years after the incident occurred.

Is there a certain part of the English language you do not understand????

Didn't an unnamed SE Asian nation (guessing Indonesia, maybe Malaysia) thwart this attack by arresting the alleged mastermind?

if you read the article, you'd see it was Thailand, and that the news was announced by the WH last year. and i seriously doubt thailand acted on it's own.

LOL -- More proof that the liberals are so hell bent on bashing Bush that they'll ignore direct evidence of Terror Surveillance working. Forget about celebrating that an attack was thwarted, the liberals go straight into innuendo and attempts at smearing the work of our intelligence workers.

I applaud the Administration's efforts here. It likely saved thousands of lives.

More evidence that TJ either can't read, won't read, or is incapable of understanding what he reads.

Liberals are IN FAVOR OF TERROR SURVEILLANCE. They are also in favor of upholding the constitution.

I don't doubt that there was cooperation. But I am curious as to why you don't think Thailand would act on its own to stop terrorism?

Yeah, he doesn't understand anything said by someone with whom he doesn't agree politically.

You are being coy with me. You know that you threw in the Bush bashing comment to diminish the great news that we thwarted a terrorist attack. It pains you to hear positive news happening in America because in your view it could be traced back to the Bush administration, so you feel the need to insert some negative qualifier such as it took too long to release the info.

You obviously have lost whatever mind-reading skills you thought you once had. Your comments prove that you are clueless in regard to what my post meant. So, for your benefit, I will put it in plain, simple English, so hopefully you will understand the question and have an answer for it:

Why was this information originally brought up last year, 3 years after the incident, and again today, 4 years after the incident????????????

They probably didn't announce it at the time because of ongoing investigations or something. They might not have wanted other members of the terror network to know what was going on, so they kept it secret while they followed up leads from the thwarted attackers.

Actually if you consider the mindset of Americans after the terrorist attacks on New York and DC, I have serious doubts that a bunch of Al Queda operatives could pull off another hijacking EVER. And this "hijack a plane, use a shoe bomb to get in the cockpit and then fly into a building" plan? It would have failed miserably.

Lets be honest, now that we know that they have no qualms about blowing up themselves and the planes to take out even more people, who here wouldnt try to kill anyone on a place who pulled out a shoe bomb? Would you rather go down as a victim or as another Todd Beamer?

I'm thinking the good men and women of Flight 93 have inspired most of us to never be victims to hijackers ever again. We're not going down without a fight.

However, kudos to the intelligence agencies across the globe for preventing these a-holes from making the attempt. Looks like we didnt have a complete intelligence failure in 2002.
