Good lighting, nice set design, great cinematography, and excellent editing. Certainly a top-notch Bruckheimer-esque production so far.

We have a President who is afraid of screened phone calls. Jeesh.

Kerry invites hecklers to the stage for equal time, and Bush refuses to even take *screened* calls from concerned Americans.

I hate to compare apples to r****ded oranges, but that's very telling about the character of both.

From the recaps here, it sounds like they were going to take screened calls and he refused. Was this said on the show or is this an assumption?

I saw a bit of this last night, GWB competently told his lies like "the world is a safer place" ad nauseum. And GWB's wife talked about stem cell research and stuck to the line that GWB is not "banning" it.

Bush is so out of touch with Americans, check this out

how would he know what Americans are thinking? All his public appearances are treated like he is royalty with all dissenters rounded up and carted away out of sight

King George continues to show he is out of touch with America

only 18% of people polled said we are better off according to a Washington Post-ABC poll

Do you really think the world is NOT a safer place without Sadam. Bush fan or not I think you would have to agree on that.

Also your boy Kerry has said he would vote for the war again even knowing that we havent wont huge stockpiles of weapons:rolleyes:

I don't think anyone would have to agree on that. We might ask if we are better off without Saddam, and you would find more agreement.

We are not safer now that we've invaded Iraq and removed Saddam.

    Terrorism is up.

The number of terrorists has increased.

Animosity towards the U.S. is up.

Iraq has seen a huge increase in crime, kidnappings, terrorism, and chaos.

We have fewer resources and troops dedicated to fighting Al Qaeda in their previous HQ of Afghanistan.

Our own troops and defenses have been spread thin and scattered over seas.

The fall out has caused the administration to blow the cover of one intel agent serving our country.

The fall out has caused the administration to blow the cover of Khan who was helping us track down terrorists. Even Pakistan, and England have claimed this was a huge mistake.

Saddam was hemmed in, and contained. He was unable to attack his neighbors, he didn't have WMD, he wasn't helping Al Qaeda, and was low on the list as far as significant aid to foreign terrorists. He wasn't a threat to those outside of Iraq.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------

All of this has happened as a direct or indirect result of our invasion of Iraq and the removal of Saddam.

In the end it might be a positive, and the chaos is hopefully just a necessary step to move in the right direction.

But I certainly think it's arguable that the world is currently safer

    Where? In Iraq?

So, if we only have one major act of terrorism (9/11) every now and then that's ok?

    Iraq
    Spain
    Morocco
    France
    etc.

How did you get that it's ok to have a terrorism attack(9/11) every now and then? Where did I post anything even remotely suggesting that?

Why did you bring 9/11 into a discussion about whether the world was safer without Saddam? It was Al-Qaeda that threatened us with 9/11, and not Saddam. There has been no credible evidence showing that Saddam worked in cooperation with Al-Qaeda either in relation to 9/11 or not.

If you look at what I posted, you will see that one of the reasons I say the world is not safer now, is because we diverted resources from pursuing those who were responsible for the 9/11 act terrorism in order to attack those that weren't connected to the 9/11 act of terrorism.

How do you know we are not safer without Saddam in power? We are certainly safer from him.

Florida has seen a huge increase in crime and chaos since hurricane Charley. Is Bush to blame for that too?

Animosity towards the US is up? I could care less if countries that hated us hate us even more.

The number of terrorists is up? I don't care what their numbers are. One is too many. Btw, is there a scoreboard for this stat?

We weren't in danger from Saddam to begin with. So how can we be safer from a non-threat?

The other countries didn't hate us before. And if you want to fight global terrorism it's good to have more of the globe cooperating and on your side. Look at our actions. When we first went after Al-Qaeda we had enthusiastic support and help. Iraq was not so, and since Iraq we've had trouble getting help from allies in regards to Afghanistan too. That hampers our efforts.

I don't know if there is a scoreboard or not. But there was a lengthy article and thread about it on this bbs. I agree with you that one is too many. That doesn't mean that as long as there is one it's ok to have an increasing number.
