http://www.alternet.org/story/11181 It's not from a major news story, but then again it's an editorial, so makes for good reading. I've felt this way about Bush for a long time. Imagine what the writer would have to say about Bush's administration now. I think Harding might protest that we're smearing his name by comparing him to Bush.
I guess our grandchildren will one day be learning about the corrupt days of the George W. presidency. That is if the Constitution and the Bill of Rights haven't been abolished.
I should have included for those of us who have grandchildren that can afford a good private education.
I should point out that I vehemently disagree with the title of this thread. Bush is no Harding. Granted, he was a cheerleader and she was an ice skater, so that's similar. However, Bush did everything he could to not fight while Tonya will throw down on anybody. Plus, she makes better videos.
...Both of them lied about what they knew, and when they knew it. And both had drunk driving convictions.
I love it when reporters go out and ask the common American man or woman on the street basic geography questions. Like, find Iraq on a world map.
his post also assumes that the evangelical fire n' brimstone nut-job president bush doesnt bring about the end of the world and the 2nd coming of jesus before he has grandchildren. 2012 - the mayans know whats up! were all dead - yippee
i wonder who has snorted more coke? i take tonya for a crystal meth girl. dubya is a more white collar drug kind of guy.
I agree. The Bill of Rights and the Constitution will never be abolished because they are too useful as rhetorical devices. We'll just gradually move to a system where they can be safely ignored, yet still trotted out during campaigns. Sort of like the GOP currently does with Lincoln.
