<InsertPlayerHere> I propose the first person in this monumental thread to be Billy Wagner. We should tie him up to a tree. All he is asked of is one inning a game. BUT NOOOO HE HAS TO SCREW IT UP! I will continually add people who should be burned at the stake as the rest of the year goes on. Thanks for your time.
I dunno man.. Billy Wagner is one of the most solid closers in the game. Ricky Stone has also done a hell of a job for us over the course of the season, so the fact that he blew a HR to Casey isn't really a huge deal, even though it's a game that I wish we would have won. The main problem today was the Astros' lack of run production against guys who really aren't that impressive. Jimmy Haynes and ESPECIALLY Bruce Chen are guys that you need to score at least 3-4 runs off of.
Actually Jimmy Haynes has been REALLY good this season, he has 12 wins and a good ERA. And since going to the Reds Chen has an ERA of about 2.80.
It would have helped if the Astros could have managed to score more than just ONE freakin run. How the hell do you win by scoring 1 run? The hitting has been a problem all season, and will continue until the Astros bring some good contact hitters in.
