Kings forward Shareef Abdur-Rahim is the most prominently mentioned possibility in the latter scenario, though a late rumor Wednesday had the Bulls trying to pry Bonzi Wells from the Rockets.
Bulls have offered us Mike Sweetney's expiring contract for Bonzi, obviously not enough value but I would do it if they threw in their or the Knicks 1st round pick (Its going to be a strong draft this year) Also, other stuff Im hearing:
Another option was believed to be a swap of Wells and a second player to Detroit for Dale Davis and Flip Murray, though Pistons president Joe Dumars was first trying to find a taker for Nazr Mohammed before he committed to a Davis trade.

Also, Rockets are the number one candidate for Mike James

This is going to be fun! :D

On offense, Bonzi fits the Bulls better than us. They have serious assets to give us if they want him bad enough.

Getting the Knicks pick seems unlikely, don't you think? I don't even think it is top 3 protected.

They can have him for Hinrich!! I'd even throw in our 1st rounder in that deal. :D

I don't see any way they'd give us Hinrich or #1 picks, but I'd rather have Duhon. That would be the perfect trade for us, IMHO. He has a high basketball IQ, consummate pro, can play 1 or 2, and would fit this team well.

No thanks. We already have Hayes.

Bonzi fills a hole in the roster, while Sweetney would just ride the pine.

He was kidding about Hinrich, but with Duhon you may be onto something, totally agree with you and would definately solve our back-up PG problem.

BTW, Chucky Atkins was held out of last night's game, we'll see...

Nobody leaves unless someone who can shoot comes in. Shooters needed.

Agreed. I'd LOVE to have Duhon. We could start him for years and years and years down the line.

Wells, Novak, JL3 for Duhon? Pretty please?

Chuck Hayes is a FA with no Bird rights for the Rockets.

Bonzi is as good as gone.

Sweetney has an expiring deal but Bird rights.

Sounds like a way to get an inusrance policy against losing Hayes.

Hayes has a two-year contract. He's not a FA until after next year, and then the Rockets get "Early Bird Rights".

No way should we trade Bonzi for Sweetney, Sweetney is to fat to be playing basketball at the top level and he is not on the Bonzi is.

In otherwords, Bonzi is far mo valueable to this team then Sweetney and an expiring contract, the Bulls would have to add something alot more to get Bonzi and the only tradeable assit they have is the Knicks pick which I feel they wouldn't want to give up.

They may throw in Noc if they have a huge desire to get Bonzi but if the rumours are of Sweetney for Bonzi, then CD should hang up the phone striaght away.

who are we going to lose hayes too? the guy would be a scrub on any other team. not even nash could get him easier buckets than what tmac gives him, and he still manages to blow those.

I don't see Sweetney as a fit here. You could make a case for Duhon though.

Exactly what I was going to post. How many teams are dying to sign a 6'6 PF..

He did have a pretty nice dunk in last nights game. Didn't know he could get up so high and quick.

    You are missing the point.

Moneyball dictates you would have to overpay Hayes to keep him as witnessed by what you just posted.

Hayes' and his agent will be able to use this.

The Rockets aren't going to pay the tax just to re-sign Hayes.
