When I read this and saw all the comparisons being made to the Rockets, I just had to post it on the board to see what people thought. http://bulls4ever.com/article.php?sid=42&mode=nested&order=0 This is the article: The Bulls is ready to be a great team. By Carlos Lyra on Wednesday 12 December @ 18:16:36 Call me crazy but the Chicago Bulls have a great team and will have a great shot at the playoffs next season. Bulls have a very solid center, Brad Miller, averaging 15 points per game and 9 rebounds per game. Moreover, the Bulls have a solid shooting guard, Ron Mercer, averaging 16 points per game. Add to the mix, when healthy, that small forward Eddie Robinson was a solid player averaging 14 points per game and 5 rebounds. As a starter, power forward Marcus Fizer is averaging 14 points per game and 8 rebounds per game. The Chicago Bulls also have two great young prospects in Tyson Chandler and Eddy Curry. They are not yet ready to start, but will be ready to contribute from the bench. If the Bulls have so many solid players why are they one of the worst team in the league and what leads me to believe that the Bulls can make the playoffs next season? To answer that question, let's take a look at the Houston Rockets. Last season they were 3-11 the first month of November but finished 34-48. This season they were 7-7 the month of November and then Steve Francis was injured. Since then, the Rockets haven't won any games and are 7-16. Excluding Francis, the Rockets have good solid players at shooting guard in Cuttino Mobley (17ppg and 5rpg), and at power forward in Kenny Thomas (12ppg and 7rpg). Not only do the Chicago Bulls have better solid players, but they have a better record than the Rockets without Steve Francis. What is missing for the Chicago Bulls is a playmaker, a super star. The Bulls will very likely end the season as one of the worst teams in the league, if not the worst. This will ensure a high lottery pick. Chances are that either Jason Williams of Duke or Dajuan Wagner will be available for the Bulls to be selected. Jason Williams is a very quick and explosive point guard. He has a great shot selection and has an excellent three-point stroke. He also has great court vision. He will instantly become an NBA star. Dajuan Wagner is a world-class scorer. He can shoot from anywhere. He is a killer. He can break down opponents off the dribble and score in a variety of ways. Like Jason Williams, he will be a star in this league and although young and inexperienced, he could make an impact right away, especially if he joins the Chicago Bulls. Either player will make a huge impact right away and at that point, Tyson Chandler and Eddy Curry will not be inexperienced rookies. They will be ready to be added to the rotation as solid players. Either Jason or Dajuan have the potential to have the same impact that Steve Francis had for the Houston Rockets. Knowing that our "role players" are better than the Rockets "role players", the Bulls will certainly be a much more improved team and could expect a better season than the Rockets. Other good example would be the Miami Heat. Without a healthy Alonzo Mourning and with Brian Grant out, they were the worst team in the league! This is what a superstar can do to a team. Without a superstar you are among the worst teams. With a superstar, you are a playoff team. The Bulls will have a superstar next season and our core base is great. The Bulls are already filled with potential stars and the current starters are solid.
I sorta stopped reading this post once I reached that point. The Rockets went 34-48 2 seasons ago . Last season, they went 45-37. So, needless to say, I didn't think much of the article. I thought for a second that gettinbranded wrote this, but I know his real name & that person's name is not it.
I love the gif files but can't get them onto my machine. I just get a frame, not the gif file itself. How do I download them?
"The Bulls IS ready to be a great team." That alone tells you how bad that statement is. All your losses are belong to Bulls.
Try this link: http://www.smilies-world.de And see if that will help you. Also, you may have to click and copy a specific URL for a gif that you are interested in and then you can paste it here. For example: or Good luck!
Thanks for pointing out some "mistakes". The "last season" was meant to be the 99-00 season. It was accidently changed after the article review. The article was never meant to offend or diss any Houston fan. Houston has a good team but without Francis, they are bad. Recently Griffin has stepped in. That is great. I was very disapointed with him earlier. Once he finds his game and Francis is back, Houston will be a great team. Anyway, when will Francis return? I am very sure you fans were disapointed with the losing streak. Bulls fans are disapointed with 4 losing seasons! The team isnt bad, it is only missing two things: a coach (well, Floyd just resigned) and a super star. Problem is that we are missing the most important fundamental part of the game. Im pretty sure that if we had a Francis or a TMac, this team would have been a very good one.
bulls4ever, I actually started a thread not too long ago where I pretty much echoed your sentiments. Bulls vs. Wizards I felt (and still feel) that the Bulls had more 'upside' right now than the Wizards if only for the simple fact that the Bulls have a potential frontline of... C - Curry PF - Fizer SF\PF - Chandler ...that could be special in the near future. Put a play-maker\scorer on that team (DaJuan Wagner would be perfect for the Triangle since it doesn't really need a 'true' PG, Jason Williams would also fit well) and the Bulls can be special in a couple of seasons.
Bulls4ever: I don't mean to offend yoou, but the Bulls stink and will stink for a long time. It's obvious the organazation isn't too big on winning right now, since they traded their best player (Brand) for a high schooler, and that they drafted a high schooler. So they won't be good for alteast 2-3 more years.
I agree that trading Brand was a very risky move. Brand is already one ofthe league best power forward and one of a few player who is a consistent 20-10 player. Today we've beat the Cavaliers playing a good game. For the very first time this team played organised basketball. I know it was only one game, but it showed how bad of a coach Tim Floyd was. We stink but IMO we do cause we had a terrible coach who didn't understood the players strenghts and weakness and instead of building a tactic based on what we have, he was imposing his thoughts. PS: IMO, Mobley is better than Fizer and Mercer but not by much (compared to Mercer) nut if we take Francis out of the lineup, Houston isnt muh better than the Bulls, as it shows. Biggest mistake ws not picking Francis, IMO. Now we may have a chance to grab Williams. This could turn the team around. Plus, in 2 years we will have a payroll of 6 million while most teams will be in salary trouble. Nobody can really chanllenge a team that have Shaq and Kobe. Assuming that Shaq will either retire in 4 years or not be that dominant anymore, when that happens is when Curry and Chandler should be 110% ready to be stars. While we won't be a contender for the next 3 years, we will improve this team year after year. Adding Crawford, Eddie Robinson and Jason Williams will make us a lot better team.
Bulls had better start getting good, how many lottery picks do they have - Mercer,Fizer,Crawford,Curry,Chandler, the list goes on
Dude, there are 26,719 total threads, and you have posted in 29 of them in one day so far. I think you still have time to post in the remaining 26,690 threads today, but you better get on the ball....time is being wasted.
Lol, I remember in 1 day I went from like having 180 posted to like 235, lol. I went kind of hyper on the posts.
