    Is this report legit?

I have a hard time believing with Mayo's tragic season, off-the-court problems and steady regression that he was REALLY worth Brewer + picks to Chicago.

Because now that they have Battier they are pretty much a favorite to win the championship this year.

This is the Grizzlies we're talking about. They don't believe in getting equal value back in trades. If the Bulls had offered Brewer and one second round pick for Mayo and Gasol, they would have been all over it.

The Rockets needed a C and the Bulls needed a SG. The Rockets were willing to give them what they needed most for what we needed most.

Grizzlies wouldn't let the Bulls punk us like that and decided to teach them a lesson.

Grizzlies dont value picks very much because they are completely inept at drafting.

Brewer is on a long term contract and has a sketchy history with the Grizz...

As far as the picks go.. if the CHA pick was offered they should have done it.. If it was like two bulls picks and the heat pick.. very meh.

Three draft picks sound nice, but the picks the Bulls were supposedly offering don't hold much value:

    CHI 2011 1st
    MIA 2011 1st
    PHO 2011 2nd

I'm not really high on Mayo, but I woudn't have done that deal either.

It's more what they didn't offer that was the problem. As AggieRocketsFan said, we needed a c & they needed a sg. We offered the backup sg they wanted, but they didn't offer the backup c we wanted. I really don't blame them, because they're in a simular boat as we are. Noah & Asik are the only players they have that are over 6-9. Besides; Noah, Rose & maybe Gibson are they only other players on their roster that I would want.

Brewer+those three are still much better than 1st and Mcroberts. At the very least they could have sold those picks for 2-4M each and made some money.

Looks like Morey asked for Asik and the Charlotte 1st, per Sam Smith.

any gm worth his salt know that the grizz hate picks. I it means they actually have to pay some one.

    lol im kidding. Not really.

In all seriousness the reason they turned down brewer is because they all ready had a chance to see what he could last season and they had no interest in exercising his option when they had his rights last year.
