I would think with the new rules and the fact that Matt does the color commentary for the Comets, he isn't going anywhere. My guess is that he gets the veteran's minimum after everyone else is signed.

    Definately bring the Bull back!

he's not in the way of anything and does what he's told very well.

there's little reason to not bring back the bull. although his defense is porous at best, he could be valuable at stretching defenses next year. besides, whenever dan is ready to step up, matt can step to the IR or the RL (retired list)!

I think Bull should get moves of his named after him. Standing out there past the arch, get his man in the air, takes one step in and drops it.. Hey how does The Bull Shake sound. Oh, on the subject, They have to keep him. He just got his own song during games.

He hits 3's, follows instructions, and comes cheap. What's not to like?

Not his job. He shoots threes, he does it well. I say bring him back.

The question was "what's not to like?" When you give up more points than you score, I don't think that's a good thing.

Moe: You get what you pay for. If you evaluate every player in comparison to Kobe Bryant... yeah, Bull's got some problems. If you're just looking for a good veteran to have for a couple million, Bullard's your man.

I was talking about Bull, of course, but I can see how you could apply that to Shandon as well.

I don't recall comparing Bull to Kobe. Why don't you put words in my mouth next time. Kobe is one of the best defenders in the league. I can't think of anyone worse than Bull.

Nah thats ok. We are gonna draft a Sf and we already have Langhi on the team so it wouldn't make sense to resign him.

    Moe:

*sigh*... nobody put words into your mouth. You *did* say that Bullard had a problem on defense. Nobody in their right mind would deny this: thing is, it's easy to look at almost anybody's game, but the best, and say "aha! here's a problem." The question regards *value*. And Bullard is a good value.

    Haven,

*sigh* You posed the question, "What's not to like?" I answered directly, "defense".

I really have to defend that answer?

Good point, Moe. Sorry - I was thinking of Bullard's overall value, and you were thinking about his particular skills.

    Just a misunderstanding.

Do you guys think we should retire Bull's # if he retires as a Rocket?

I think he's been here long enough and is very well liked...it could be a possibility...

No problem, Haven. I do think Bull is a good value. However, I would like to see Langhi assume that role over the course of the year. I think if he gets the minutes, he will do a good job of hitting the 3 and has much more going for him defensively.

If we keep our draft picks, I hope Rudy will give them lots of playing time. The supporting cast for Steve and Cat need experience, and the sooner the better. That includes draft picks and Collier and Langhi if they stay around.

Re-sign Bull. He comes with way more pluses than minuses. He deserves a farewell tour in a season the Rocks are in the playoffs!
