They wouldn't need to win out to have a chance. 9-7 still has a pretty decent chance. Losing to the Colts though pretty much cemented them not making the playoffs. The reason the Titans sucks is they keep losing people on defense. Haynesworth Babin Finnegann It is hard to replace talent like that.
#30 in total yards allowed per game (#27 - passing, #30 - rushing) After the Chicago debacle, they are allowing the most points in the league #24 in Yards gained per game (#18-p, #24-r) #22 in PPG They've got talent on offense, if they can get everyone healthy and focused. Need to upgrade the line a bit. I don't know what's going on with the D, but they aren't holding on to FAs. They are actually drafting plenty of guys in the last few drafts, especially up front and LB. My guess is they need to clean house and bring in a more established front office and coaching staff. They shouldn't be this incompetent.
Verner, McCourty, McCarthy, Morgan, Wimbley. Not on the level of the players you mentioned, but at the very least startable talent with some young playmakers. They rotate crap in at safety, and a DC that's probably in over his head. Attempting to install a run-and-shoot style on offense sounded crazy too.
Morgan sucks. Verner and McCourty are decent enough corners (were better off as 2nd and 3rd corners), but the DL can't get to the QB.
