So now they are 7-4 after 5 straight wins. Looks like it is certain that they will make the playoff this year. Can they get to the 2nd round?

Reasons for their success this year:

    1. Everyone is healthy this year. Plus the addition of Yi, they are pretty deep.
    2. Redd, Bogut and Williams improved their play.
    3. Yi is obviously a solid player especially on the defensive end.

Hmm good for them. I'm still happy about the Rockets' win to really care about the Mavs losing. I'm glad for Yi and his team tho.

I saw the highlights and the Bucks were winning by 3 with 20 seconds left in the 4th. I'm happy they pulled it off. I think ESPN will be all over this upset rather than our win.

Redd is playing at MVP level. Bogus has been playing great lately, especially on the defensive end. Mo Williams has realized that he's a PG after all.

The most important reason for the Bucks' early success, however, is that With everyone healthy, they are argurably the deepest team in the East.

He had a career year that landed him that contract with the Bucks. His first season in Milwaukee was OK but he missed all of last year.

The Bucks might make the playoffs but they aren't that good. They'll be easy first round fodder for someone.

Call me crazy, but I think ESPN will be "all over" college football tonight.

True. I still think Yi's bucks will get more coverage than us.

I was thinking about this happening when I saw the Mavs were playin them tonight.

Such a coincidence, I had hope and it happened.

Bucks I guess. It is a surprise that they have such a record at this point.

    Yi posterizes Dirk:

Anyone else think that the need to trade Redd to get Yi to reach his potential?

I watch a lot of Bucks games because my friend has league pass and is Chinese and I like how Yi plays, but when I'm watching the game, Redd just drives me crazy. He takes some horrendous shots that make Kobe and Mac look like great shot selectors. On top of that, they have a first-shot PG in Mo Pete so Yi's touches are very limited.

Redd does take some strange shots, but you can't argue with results. He has shooting percentages in line, or above, those of comparable star SG's - Kobe, T-Mac, etc. His overall % is a little less than the Lebrons, Carmelos and D. Wades (except so far this year) of the world, but his is a better 3 point shooter.

Every team has other players. The other option is to have Yi play on a team like Charlotte, Miami, Minnesota...which would be much worse for his career long-term.

As much push-back as they gave, Milwaukee is actually a good spot for Yi. He isn't relied on as a scoring machine, but still gets shots and playing time and can work on developing his game.

Mo Williams at PG is a bigger hindrance to Yi's development than Redd at SG. Redd is a decently efficient scorer at his position. Williams taking 15 shots/game at PG could be a problem.

Thanks for the correction. Where does Mo Pete play at? I'm just started working on my research paper and I don't want to go to NBA.com because I will spend hours looking up stats and ****. LOL
