You have to download the software and then just click on the link and wait 3 days or so for the download to complete...
That is you have dial-up. If we have enough people downloading it and seeding, it should be really fast for high-speed.
http://bitconjurer.org/BitTorrent/ - has the original author's version of the client software. http://azureus.sourceforge.net/ - a java based bit torrent client. This is the one I prefer. You have to install the java runtimes first. (Java JRE)
do a search for bittorrent. I use to use it, but it takes way to long to get anything from it. When using bittorrent your download speeds are proportional to the amount you upload. It works well when many people have the file, but if only a few have it, like us, then even if you set your upload rate as fast as possible it will still take forever to download it. The quality is good when you actually download something, but having all my bandwidth taken up for days on end just to download a few files just isn't worth it to me. If someone knows of a faster way to use bittorrent then I'd like to know. Wow. You guys are fast. 5 replies before I could post mine.
oh my god... turn in your chinese card, LOL (actually i just figured it out last month too... ) well... mine is about to finish... and it's only been like 40 minutes.
I highly recommend Torrent Storm. Much easier to use with many more options esp when resuming a torrent download. http://www.torrentstorm.com/pages/download.html
i downloaded that and using it. i dont understand the interface though. actually....its dling at 22 .....is this normal?
Don't use the original one! It doesn't work as nearly well as some others. I strongly, strongly recommend bitspirit. I am downloading at 45KB/s. http://www.bytelinker.com/intl/bs.htm#update
damn this is frustrating...pardon my ignorance fellas, but can someone pls tell me which software is the best to download and step by step (i.e., "torrent for dummies") how to execute this... much appreciated!
