Funny how Sniper rips the media and then does the SAME idiotic thing the media does by assuming Houston is throwing Hakeem away when they are just trying to save enough money to re-sign all their own free agents. Oh well. Well he shot his credibility down the toilet with that comment. ------------------ "Instruments are like women: After a while, you want to make love to another." - Nicolas Godin of the musical duo Air [This message has been edited by RocksMillenium (edited July 26, 2001).]
DO you also like his substitution of the word "either" when he should be using "neither?" But this is what ruined his credibility for me: "I'm not talking about Chicago either, who managed to improve their team marginally (a great feat considering the invisible quarantine sign hanging on the United Center door) only to have their up and coming guard Jamaal Crawford pull a Speedy Claxton." Chicago improved by letting their ONLY player, a 20 and 10 guy go for a high schooler? ------------------ My doctor says I am bipolar. I am going to get a second opinion. I think it's weird that "The Sniper" rants about how stupid Americans are for thinking that Canada is dramatically different from the US, yet he then comes back with "No kidding Doug, it's Canada not America for Christ's sake, man" when Christie talked about the food tasting different. "Look, nobody want him to play 40 minutes a night. That is what got him injured last season." The most minutes Dream averaged for a month was only 30 back in February. "The Sniper" is in for a big surprise if he thinks Hakeem got injured b/c we were overplaying him. "the fact of the matter is, cities like Indiana, Houston, Orlando, Detroit and Portland are HICK towns compared to Toronto." He shouldn't be crying about stereotypes if he's just going to turn around and use his own. Bskball.com must be really desperate for writers b/c that article really sucked. ------------------ So you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking, Racing around to come up behind you again. The sun is the same in a relative way but you're older, Shorter of breath and one day closer to death.
Oh yeah, Chicago improved GREATLY picking up high schoolers! lol How about this beauty: Nothing builds a legend like losing Marcus Camby and getting Charles Oakley, and eventually Jerome Williams, losing Stoudamire and getting Alvin Williams, and losing Tracy McGrady and Doug Christie and getting Antonio Davis! What a legend that Grunwald is! His collection of championship trophies must be staggering! ------------------ "Instruments are like women: After a while, you want to make love to another." - Nicolas Godin of the musical duo Air [This message has been edited by RocksMillenium (edited July 26, 2001).]
Gee, The "Sniper" sounds a little bitter. I've been to Toronto, and I stand by the sterotype... Canada sucks. Haha. Go Raptors. ------------------ There goes the challenger being chased by the blue blue meanies on wheels. The vicious traffic squad cars are after our lone driver .. the last american hero .. the-the electric sintar .. the demi-god .. the super driver of the golden west! two nasty cars are close behind .. the beautiful lone driver .. the police cars are getting closer, closer... closer to our soul hero in his soul mobile .. yeah baby! they're about to strike, they gonna get him, smash!, rape! the last beautiful free soul on this planet but... it's written if the evil spirit arms the tiger with claws brahman provided wings for the dove thus spake the super guru
"He pulled off the trifecta, resigning his three top players in Antonio Davis, Alvin Williams and Jerome Williams." Vince Carter must be the fourth best. He's pretty good too. I knwo what he meant, but he should have said his top three free agents. ------------------ My doctor says I am bipolar. I am going to get a second opinion. I wonder if the RocketGuy will come by and reply. Why? Because that Toronto guy must be high. He has his head in the sky, he can fly. Chicken thigh. I am not sure where all that came from, carry on. My bad. ------------------ My doctor says I am bipolar. I am going to get a second opinion. I have never had intimate desires for polar bears.
RocksMillenium...I agree with you all the way...I had nothing against canada till this article....way to go canada losing the olympics again to prolly houston or dallas...those guys are awesome....and so what if we eat pizza and drink beer....we are men right??? ------------------ yeah aight whatever
Since when was Indiana a city? Don't they have geography books up north? Hakeem got injured because he's gotten old and injury prone, not because of too much playing time. What a ridiculous statement. ------------------ "I'm attempting to dream in a world where not many people dream any more." - "Rocket man" Brian Walker
AAAAAHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAAHAH!!!! Now you know how Torontonians feel when they read all the BS that American writers say about us and the Raptors! You guys sound EXACTLY like the average angry Canadian b-ball fan after reading an ignorant anti-Raptor/Canadian story. I hope the lesson is now learned. Sniper strikes a blow for the red and white... no blue in our flag! I agree with everything he said other than forgetting it's Indianapolis. No offence guys but RocketGuy wrote on the front page of bskball.com that Hakeem had accepted an offer to stay with the Rockets. Let's not get into a battle over credibility. Start Kelvin Cato... LOL ------------------
Funny how if he had bothered to back up his ramblings by researching for facts and asking Rocket fans he would know that 1.) Dream didn't play 40 minutes a night he played 26 minutes a night and 2.)Houston cut down Dream's minutes, HE was the one that wanted more minutes. ------------------ "Instruments are like women: After a while, you want to make love to another." - Nicolas Godin of the musical duo Air
Hey DreamBashers: This guy was right on with at least the following part of his take: "Perhaps Houston has become too accustomed to being in the presence of greatness and honor. Rocket guy says "Toronto can have him". Here's hoping the Rocket's brass feels the same way. Here's hoping the Dream ends HERE." This is a sad but apparently true statement, when supposedly die-hard Rockets fans all over this board are all but kicking Hakeem in the ass on his way out the door. This would still have been despicable, but understandable, had Hakeem's season ended in, say, January of last year, but given the Dream's (and, not coincidentally, the Team's) resurrection in the second half, this "get out of here you selfish b*stard" schtick is both despicable and moronic. ------------------
Thats what I'm sayying....go rocksmillenium and flutie...what the hell.....whatever man... ------------------ yeah aight whatever
No offence guys but RocketGuy wrote on the front page of bskball.com that Hakeem had accepted an offer to stay with the Rockets. Let's not get into a battle over credibility. Start Kelvin Cato... LOL Umm, I don't know if you realize this Flutie, but this isn't The Rocket Guy's site. And if you stand by everything he says don't whine when Rocket fans say the same thing in return! ------------------ "Instruments are like women: After a while, you want to make love to another." - Nicolas Godin of the musical duo Air
To ignorant Raptors fan: The Rockets are better than the Raptors. ------------------ ZeColmeia on stealing: "I did not steal anything. Ive used some of clutchcity player profiles when I first created the draft profile page."
Fat chance! We don't learn nuthin! But, where did you see this thing about Olajuwon agreeing. Have you got a link? ------------------ RealGM Gafford Art Artisan Cakes
I know subatomic, but Flutie was saying we shouldn't talk about credibility because of something ANOTHER website talked about. Funny how Flutie went off in another thread about people attacking Toronto and the Raptors, then agree with a guy who does the opposite. Oh well, at least we know that Toronto is probably the 5th best team in the East behind Orlando, Milwaukee, Philadelphia, Charlotte, and maybe no better then Miami! ------------------ "Instruments are like women: After a while, you want to make love to another." - Nicolas Godin of the musical duo Air [This message has been edited by RocksMillenium (edited July 26, 2001).]
