A couple of stories from Bskball.com that might be of interest:

08/11-WIZARDS DISENCHANTED WITH JAHIDI- The rumors of shopping are true. The Wizards are actively exploring moving Jahidi White and may move him before the start of the season. Why? Well, Jahidi struggled coming into the league, but spent a very productive summer improving his game and became quite a good player in his 2nd year, his 3rd year was almost a step backwards, but the problem is the Wizards expected improvement, and staying the same or regression means he's expendable. Sources close to the team, say the Wizards are seriously considering a move that would send White to the Knicks for Charlie Ward and a future Knicks draft selection, its also been said that Jahidi has been offered to the Pacers for Al Harrington and a Pacers draft selection. The Wizards are still saying there is no news regarding Michael Jordan coming back, but printed reports say Michael has asked an All-Star group of player to come to Chicago and play a few pick up games with him, in what's being called Camp Jordan, so he can judge whether he can compete against the top tier guys. Among the guys invited are Tracy McGrady, Tim Hardaway, Antoine Walker, Stephon Marbury, Darius Miles, Corey Maggette, Michael Finley, Juwan Howard, Jerry Stackhouse, Vince Carter; Steve Hunter; Glenn Robinson and Ray Allen. Wonder what tickets will run? The event will likely be sponsored by Nike..what a surprise.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

08/11-BULLARD RENOUNCED, WILL INK IN CHARLOTTE- Yesterday's multi-team transaction which netted the Rockets Glen Rice, also cost them Matt Bullard who was renounced to create the space necessary to make the deal happen. "Air" Bullard was a staple of the Rockets and was likely going to re-sign despite heavy offers from other teams, after learning of the decision to renounce his rights, Matt has agreed to terms with the Charlotte Hornets on what's rumored to be a guaranteed 2 year deal with a team option for a 3rd year. The Rockets acquired swing front court player Eddie Griffin on draft day, and Glen Rice's deadly 3 point touch, made the sharp shooting Bullard unnecessary. Rockets reserve point guard Moochie Norris is taking offers from other teams, and has had light talks with the Cavs. The word is Moochie is seeking a multi-year deal starting at $2 million per season. The Rockets are offering a multi-year deal below that number, starting at the $1.2-$1.5 million range. Moochie is shopping.

Hmm... White likely to NY, Bull gone, Mooch likely gone. It's Bskball.com, so make what you will of it. :)

Did Ward go to Golden State in this past deal? If he didn't it would make sense that New York is interested in White. And this is from someone I know is friend's with someone who was part of one of Jordan's basketball camps, take it for what it is worth. Jordan is back. He has had some successful private work outs, and it is just a matter of him officially announcing it.

Should we pay over $2 million for Moochie? Is he really worth it? I agree with the Rockets offer of a multi-year deal starting at $1.5 million. We can always find a CBA scrub to backup Stevie if Fegan pulls out his familiar bag of tricks. Does Kyle Hill play PG? People on this board said he was acquired as "Moochie insurance," but I'm not so sure he can handle the point. If he can, great. We have leverage against Fegan. I still say Moochie will take less to stay in Houston because of his popularity with the fans and his teammates. I really hope I'm right. Then again, many players have made it perfectly clear that it's all about money. I hope Mooch is different, because if I were CD, I really wouldn't feel like playing hardball with a backup PG at this point. CD may be too tired to want to deal with Moochie, thereby forcing him to leave town.

Mooch, do what you gotta do, but we'd love to have you back.

Mooch really needs to fire his agent. Someone said it somewhere else, but it's worth repeating: if you want to leave the Rockets, just hire Dan Fegan. :(

I am among those who is going to miss the Bull. If he signs with the hornets, then look for him to dump 3s on us when we meet.
