Well, it's very possible that Kwame will be better than Griffin, that's why the Wizards picked him higher than Eddie. Kwame's one of the biggest freaks in the league as far as the combination of athleticism and size goes, he was destined to succeed some time. However, Kwame was absolutely pitiful last season, looked lost, and had a piss-poor attitude. He looks like a completely different player after having a year to grow up. So, to everyone who's all disappointed that Yao might not produce a whole lot this season, you just need to look at the situation with Kwame. It might take Yao a year before he is completely effective, but it'll be worth it down the road! Have patience!

Great example. I never doubted Kwame's ability. It's been a proven fact that big men just take more time to develop. The guy came out of highschool. What a difference a year can make. Yao will continue to improve year after year. With the nucleus around him we can afford to be patient. PATIENCE.

Let's hope Yao Ming can get the same summer training.

As I was watching the wizards, I have to say Rockets need the Dream. Charles Okley showed a lot of stuff to bring along the Brown kid in the practice and locker room. Who is better to bring Yao Ming along than the dream?

20 points and 6 blocks against the Celtics. Brown was shooting jumpers, finishing around the basket and blocking shots. He's relaxed and poised. Totally different from last year. I guess the Most Improved Player award has just been taken away from Miles. Yao will adjust faster than Brown with more skills and experience.

Brown was showing this during preseason before Oakley joined the team. Kwame is doing well because he his a freak of nature in terms of talent and he is a year older.
