I cant think of how many games this season when we need a basket to tie or win, and they go to the pick and roll with AB top of key, if Im correct...this has only worked once and all the other times, he has either lost the ball out of bounds, or missed the layup. Truthfully...I would rather them set him up for a mid range jumper or go to Landry

    Brooks/Landry are best options.

If they shut down Landry have to go to brooks.

That lay-up by Brooks will go in 9/10 times. That was just bad luck and unfortunate. I would run the same play again if it was game 7 and no Yao

Because Ariza/Battier would be a better option amirite? It's hard for a post to get a good shot off in the later seconds, because there's usually a trap to force a tougher shot.

You give it to anyone else, and the ball likely doesn't even make it to the basket. Brooks is our best option, but he's just a poor number #1 option relative to what most other teams have.

When Landry was guarded closely, there is no better options available. Brooks is the only parameter guy who can get off a shot at any time for Rockets.

Too bad Brooks only has the mindset of scoring in that situation instead of looking for a teammate who has better chance to score at the same time, like Tmac used to do.

This is RA's weakness. He doesn't design creative plays for the endgame. It's just AB's iso or Landry's iso. We're so predictable and thus easy to stop.

well it would be good to mix things up a little bit for an end of game play, but Brooks seemed to easily get past the suns defenders on that play and got a good look at a shot he usually makes so I would definitely go to that again.

    This.

Win or lose, Brooks should be the player with the ball and decision to shoot or pass.

Brooks is more clutch than anybody on this team, and he has definitely earned respect around the league.

I agree AB should have the ball in that situation but I'd give the clutch title to Landry.

i will still give it to AB. giving the ball to a big man who cant dribble is very dangerous in the last seconds of a tight game.

More like 1/10. At the end of the game they won't call a foul and that was a hard layup.

If you can get the ball to Yao in low post, then Yao. But it's very difficult to get the ball there in game ending situation without risking a TO. Usually there are multiple defenders around him.

I give it to the best player on your team. And everyone claims thats Yao.

You don't give the ball to roleplayers to win games when you have all-stars.

We pay yao 16+ million to win us games, if he can't handle the ball within the closing seconds of a game then he shouldn't be our go to guy or getting paid that much.

I agree they won't call a foul, but I think we can rely on AB to make those plays and come out with the points. Sure he missed tonight, but I'd run the same play tomorow in the same situation.
