In Brooklyn, go get a pizza at Patsy Grimaldi's. It's located underneath the Brooklyn Bridge. Just don't say any disparaging words about the Mafia while you are eating in there. Nothing but Sinatra pictures on the wall and Sinatra tunes in the jukebox.

Want the best steak you have EVER had? Go to Peter Luger's in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn. Cash only. Not the greatest neighborhood but there's a lot across the street that a guy watches all the patron's cars.

In Queens, go grab a slice of pizza at Tony's on 46th & Broadway (Astoria, Queens).

    Here's the Peter Luger link...www.peterluger.com

fyi...as far as pizza goes around here...you really cant go wrong anywhere that you find a fat slob in a dirty t shirt making the pies.
    This ain't Mr Gattis!

Check out the boardwalk and Coney Island in Brooklyn.

In Queens, you can visit the Darcy Projects, where 50 Cent grew up.

Peter Lugers is definately on the to do list. I called a month in advanced and they had only spots available on a Sunday either at 3:45pm or 9:45pm, so it will be a late dinner but from all the reviews it will seem to be worth the wait.

You sure about that? I know that JayZ grew up in the Marcy Homes in Brooklyn, but I don't know if there even is a "Darcy" projects, but then again I guess I wouldn't.

Unless you are wearing a bullet proof vest...I'd stay far away from any NY projects.

my name is across110thstreet and I approved this list of things to do in Brooklyn or Queens.

Just Do Your Thing and discover this fine city for yourself!
Have a ball, but on the Peter Luger's note, I just went on May 25th and you could say it was a bit pricy. we had ten people and all of us had steak and wine, the bill came to $800:eek:

when the steak arrived, i was expecting my world to change from the mouth watering succulent strips of cowflesh....

i guess I'm from texas so I expect more, but it just didn't do it for me. my reaction was "its just steak"

Cellar's is a great bar owned by a nice Jamaican couple that will feed you a free meal if you patiently order at least two beverages. its on DeKalb Avenue a couple blocks south of Washington Ave. and they like the Houston Rockets!

prospect park in brooklyn ought to have some summer concerts by the time you get there. williamsburg would probably be up your alley.

(EDIT) i forgot about astoria, one of the best neighborhoods in Queens to visit. greek neighborhood, great food, astoria park overlooks the east river with a great view of Money Makin Manhattan

and one more thing, don't forget to give Manhattan some love!

A housing project is a housing project, it is just a group of low-income buildings placed in certain neighborhoods. every neighborhood in every borough has housing projects. theyre not all bad, but Marcy Projects in Bed-Stuy is where Jigga and Biggie are from, thats pretty rough you betcha

You can come and visit me in Garden City out on Long Island.

Actually on second thought, there is no reason at all to visit Long Island.

Shea Stadium is in Queens. Go to a game and meet the rudest fans you've ever seen in your life.
