Accidentally walked too close to my 2002 nissan xterra while carrying stuff and broke the passenger tail light cover All I can find online is the entire tail light assembly which is ridiculously more expensive then I want to pay for just the lens cover...anybody have any solutions such as where I can look/call? maybe someone has a spare xterra lying around? I guess since we're also on the subject...what is the law on broken tail lights here in texas? thanks
Most tail lamps, you can't just get the lens, you have to buy the housing (which includes the lens). Says here on car-parts.com that used ones are going for $75-$90. $62 free shipping here on Ebay - http://cgi.ebay.com/2002-2003-2004-...ts=Year:2002|Model:Xterra&hash=item1e5e3781b1
Xterra is a fairly popular vehicle, I'm sure if you gave a junk yard a visit you can find one that is totalled but the lights might be something you can take off for dirt cheap. My dad uses an accord for work and he got in a small wreck and bought a head light from a junkyard for dirty cheap. I think he paid about 20 bucks.
You can buy a repair kit which is very inexpensive and serves it's function, You can buy one at any Autozone and it's very easy to use.
interesting thanks guys. im gonna look at the quickfix at autozone bc im lazy until i can go to a junkyard bc theyre just it's too freaking expensive to buy the complete housing . any recommendations on junkyards? thanks again
