Lesnar -- Mayo Bound and May Never Fight Again Posted Nov 16th 2009 12:05PM by TMZ Staff Brock Lesnar is so sick, he'll be going to the Mayo Clinic so doctors can figure out what to do -- but it will probably require major surgery ... UFC Prez Dana White tells TMZ. White tells us Lesnar -- the UFC heavyweight champ -- is "very, very sick" with some sort of intestinal disorder, although listening to White, it sounds a lot more serious than that. White says the condition will require "major surgery." White is going to visit Lesnar in the hospital and is trying to get him transferred to the Mayo Clinic, one of the most renowned medical facilities in the world. White says Lesnar -- formerly of the WWE -- was diagnosed with mono more than a week ago and was "bummed out" that he had to cancel the fight and went to Canada to rest. White says Lesnar collapsed in Canada a week ago today and has been hospitalized ever since. White acknowledges the current condition is not mono but he will not be specific. White says the condition is not HIV or cancer. And, White tells TMZ, "There's a possibility Lesnar will never fight again." http://www.tmz.com/2009/11/16/brock-lesnar-dana-white-mayo-clinic-mono-ufc-wwe/
from the rumors going around people are talking like it is stemming from a bug bite that caused something similar to sleeping sickness. again, it's complete speculation but the thing I saw was Chagas disease which is an american sleeping sickness that can require major intestinal surgery. who knows what is really going on....
I highly doubt it's roid related. Roids don't typically affect your intestines and Brock is pretty young anyway to be having long term roid side effects. I'm skeptical about whether or not he even used/uses roids. His weight has be steady since he was in college. Intestinal disease makes me wonder if it's something like colitis or crohn's. Just a wild guess. The number of people diagnosed with Crohn's seems to be skyrocketing.
Doesn't sound related to roids at all. On another note, as hard as it is to believe he's NOT on roids, he has been thoroughly tested throughout his career and has never tested positive for anything.
he could be on HGH, they didnt test for that for a long time. Humans do not naturally get that big...
I was reading a related article the other day discussing how he went to Canada to relax and then, one day collapsed and had to be rushed to the hospital. I think whatever it is coupled with mono is having some serious side effects on him. A rumor I heard was that it was kidney failure but could be a myriad of things... at this point, it's not worth speculating really... hopefully he gets better and Dana is just exaggerating the whole no fighting thing... unfortunately, it also means that he's out for a long time and most likely will be stripped of his title...
I'm pretty sure UFC fighters are tested for HGH but I don't know that for sure. But really, as a college kid he was getting designer drugs? Maybe he is using something, I don't know. But it's ridiculous to just say "human's don't naturally get that big" when the guy has been tested repeatedly by different organizations for years and has never tested positive for anything.
I saw the UFC all access they did on him, and it looks like he leads a simple life. Don't know how accurate any of it is, but he lived somewhere real snowy and would drive a tractor to his gym, which was also on his property. He's also married to Sable from WWF.
