So Im going to be moving away to God's country, and unfortunately, DSL and Cable Internet aren't available out there.

Does anyone know of any other high speed internet options? I know for a while, some of the satellite companies offered it, but didn't see anything on DirectTV or Dish Network's site.

If we have to rely on 56K dialup for the rest of my life, my wife and I will end up killing each other.

    Please help!!!

    :(

Where exactly are you moving to that have no cable? I believe you could get Dish networks to give you good download speed and 56k upload speed.

Magnolia. But keep in mind, Magnolia is really spread out. Ill actually be about 20 mins from Tomball and about 20 mins from "downtown" Magnolia. I suspect that peopel who live loser to "downtown" Magnolia or Tomball have more options available to them. Unfortunately, my land is in an area thats just now kind of getting developed.

I am so far out, that I heard dueling banjos and pigs squealing when I was walking the property the other day.

I know SPRINT has SATELLITE High-Speed. Look into it. Don't have the link but try www.sprint.com .

They stopped offering that service a while back. Don't even see it on their site anymore.

I just found something. www.direcway.com ...seems kind of pricy for the limited speed you are getting

anyone used them before? I guess they are a subsidiary of DirectTV?

Do you get cellphone signals out there? If you do, try your cellphone company's internet plan, it's about the same speed as DSL.

You can hook your computer up to a cell phone?

Most of the new cellphones can be hook up to a computer. If your cellphone has bluetooth, you can just buy a USB bluetooth adopter for your computer. Others can be hook up by using connection cables.
