Monday's game will be huge for the Rockets. If we win, it will show that the Rockets will stand the test of time and be successful in the playoffs. I am not counting on Stevie to break out like he did against the Lakers, but the man has to be huge. If we win, we will get within a half game of the Spurs(amazing isnt it?) Another reason that we MUST win this game is the fact that the Jazz are red hot. I dont think we can count on them to burn up later in the season, they will be a team to be reckoned with. Anways GOOD LUCK ROCKETS on monday!
    :)

We MUST win this game. So many tough opponents ahead. But this is gonna be very tough because it's a road game. We are bound to lose to Mavericks in back-to-back games in a road trip.If we don't win this game, we will have at least 2 streak losses.

i agree, i maintain that the key to our victory is Steve Francis. We all saw what happens when he puts up monster numbers, we beat the champions, who were btw the leagues hottest team. That title now belongs to us. Ming racked up 28 points against the Spurs in the two's last game, expect San Antonio to try and overdefend on Yao, which will thus leave Steve open for some three pointers. This game is very winnable(is that a word?)

I cant expect us to win both. I think we can beat San Antonio b/c we are pumped up and rested. Dallas will be tough though. They will come out prepared after two losses in a row and we will be exhausted after the Fakers and then the Spurs, but Im still hoping for us to win in both!

We can win both games, with a good effort. The key is inside-out. Rockets are really beginning to believe that. Francis and Mobley has taken to the whole a lot more lately.

Spurs. After matching up with Shaq pretty well, I fully expect Yao to dominate the twin towers in a similar level as in last Spurs game. I hope Yao learned a few tricks from Shaq and start dunking over Robinson and Duncan. He knows he is stronger than both of them, since the twin towers are known not be able to handle Shaq.

Marvericks. They never had any inside presence. They are mostly a jump shooting and fast-break team. With Yao, they will find the basket will be a lot smaller when they go inside. A few jump nots not falling, they will be in disarray. Rockets need to play tough parimeter D to stop Mavs jump shooters.

Don't get overly excited. Remember, the Rockets do not play well after they get a rest. Puzzling, but true.

We match up well with the Spurs, and I think we have a better chance to win that game than the Dallas game -- the jinx of rest aside.

Dallas is a crisp passing team that is hard for the Rockets to defend. They don't even like to go inside, preferring to live or die with the jump shot -- and they have been living it up.

The fact that San Antonio does not have a very good player on the outside and mostly depends on Duncan/Robinson will play into our favor. I think that Yao should guard Duncan and keep him in check. Yao can hold Tim to 15 points and 7 rebounds. Francis also has to play big for the win.

If that happens it will be tough for Yao. He might get in foul trouble and that would mess up the defensive plan for the Rockets. If the Rockets play Duncan like they did Shaq then I don't see a reason why we can't win this.
I think we need a good game from Posey in containing Steven Jackson. Francis also have to contain Tony Parker. I think if we do that we can win this game.

At least the Spurs game starts early @ 230 or so. That way the Rockets get an additional 5 hours of rest (when compared to 730 start time) before the Mavericks Game
