Sure, we beat the Suns twice last year, but they changed the gameplan this season and VG has not responded...just part of this team's larger problem, having a mismatched coach.

The Suns decided to double and triple hard on Yao, and force our team to develop some offensive chemistry...which we are not capable of outside a few anomolous games per year.

It's time to bring in Rick Adelman...VG did a fine job...got us to the playoffs, blah, blah, blah...but this is a team that cannot execute his plan. Yao and TMac are not the pitfighters that VG needs...they are more like highly skilled pugilists that need someone who can bring out their strengths, while mitigating their weaknesses.

Adelman's motion offense is predicated on unselfishness, crisp ball movement and a high post attack. All these attributes are perfect for our personnel...that doesn't mean Yao will not attack deep in the paint...he would whenever he can, but it also means the team won't be frozen when Tmac aint hitting his shot and Yao is being denied deep position. We would still have a highly effective attack even when teams force us out of our "comfort zone."

As for defense, any team with Yao looming in the lane, a healthy McGrady on the outside, and other defenders worth a damn would be formidabe.

    BRING IN ADELMAN!!

i do think the rockets will be better with adelman rather than jvg. i think tmac and yao would benefit more with rick adelman. tmac and yao are lookin like they will not flourish with the grind it out, stagnant offense that jvg's doing.. they need motion offense. if we could just get adelman for offense and jvg for defense...

I think our defense would be fine....but our offense would improve drastically. The King are a nice balance between uptempo and (mostly) halfcourt sets. We could run w/ Alston and our wings, while Yao rests on defense. Tmac would be able to do his thing without people hanging all over him and we could get much easier baskets on a consistent basis.

I'm not sure I understand. Adelman is currently coaching the Kings, right? Did I miss something?

I heard Adelman was close to quitting on the spot to go coach the Pistons after Detroit lost to Dallas by 40pts back in November.

Think it's time for the Rockets not to be bogged down by traditional thinking.
Its time to bring in new blood into the Head Coaching position. One who might bring heart and passion into the game . One who might lift the players to do what they do well not what he thinks that they should do. One who has an emotional and spiritual connection with Houston. M.E. is his name
It is time for a clear head and a simple search for the big mans Coach, one who is proud, someone that can instill the spirit desire & emotion of a champion.
There are two that fit this data and they are H.O. & M.M.

    Mario, Hakeem, Moses.

I guess while we're at it, fire CD and bring in KS?
