I urge everybody to send FoxSports a short comment about bringing Calvin back. Hopefully, they will have enough feedback to sway their decision and hire Calvin as the Rox color commentator. Tell other people about going to following website and make it clear that Rockets fans want Calvin back. http://msn.foxsports.com/feedback
i was wondering when someone was goin to start a "petition". i for one would sign it...thanks for the link. i miss calvin and i was really hoping to see him back sometime soon...its just not the same w/o his enthusiasm on the side. him and worrell were a good team
This really sucks! It is a shame that man that has been acquitted still carries the scarlet letter of sexual deviancy, but I can understand the club/media's decision. We'll miss you #23!!!
Don't take this lying down. I, for one, pleadge to call and email once a day until they put Murph back on. This really pisses me off. First those ugly pinstripes, then the Maloney contract, now they're taking away my favorite commentator. Damn I'm pissed.
I sent them a comment thanking them for dropping Calvin Murphy. So, if you like the decision not to bring back Calvin, drop them a line too!
I feel like I’m taking crazy pill or something. Am i the only one that thinks calvin should NOT have his old job back? YES i liked him a lot more than bill but the man practically orphaned like 10 out of his 14 children. He told them not to tell anyone he was their father. He is a horrible person that traumatized so many lives. As an announcer he serves as a face of the organization. He's an intermediary between the fans and the rockets and i do think that he should be held to a higher moral standard than others. That might be unfair if the guy say...had one affair or something like that but what he did was so extreme and disgusting he should have no affiliation with any public position.
damn brando we got you the first time you said the exact same thing in this thread http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=98638&page=2&pp=30 ....atleast change it up man
I agree with everything, except him being a horrible person. A horrible father? Absolutely. A horribe person? Thats pretty strong. Also, I didn't care either way whether he came back or not. I like Calvin (when my son was born, I wanted so much to bring him to a game and have his photo taken with Calvin and a giant cookie), but unfortunately, like you said, he is in a position that is very much in the public eye with regards to representing his employer and/or the station he is working for.
Just let it go man. Change is good sometimes. Calvin was great when he was here. He's not going to be a part of it anymore, so lets just enjoy this part of it. Lisa Malosky now.. that's a different story.
i just copy pasted since no one aggred or disagred with it. I think they are viable points and the reasons calvin wasnt brought back. I thought they were worth talking about
ill purchase the domain if someone can host the site.. we need a designer if your on board let me know
It won't work. Le$ has wanted Calvin gone for years. He has simply managed to make it stick this time. Once again, loyalty means nothing, and a lifetime Rocket is screwed.
'' I agree with your right to have an opinion, but this isn't Sundayschool class. Who cares that Calvin was a bad father. There are a lot of famous people who are bad fathers. It has nothing to do with how he does his job. That dude (I forget his name) left teeth marks on some lady's butt, and he got his job back commentating basketball. Please leave my basketball out of this moral, highhorse nonsense. Nobody's perfect, and it's no one else's business anyway. Also, just because someone is a horrible father, doesn't make him a horrible person. Well have to agree to disagree.
apparently the guy who writes the checks cares. and that's the only opinion that matters. seriously, i can't believe anyone is surprised by this. given all the revelations that came out about murphy (that many already knew behind the scenes) there is no way in the world he was going to hold on to such a public job.
