i don't usually post threads... and i usually have to roll my eyes at all of the negativity that gets tossed around on this board. but seriously, i've had enough. getting blown out by the 76ers? THIS TEAM BLOWS. whether the players have quit on RA or they never believed in him in the first place i don't know. but i miss jvg right now. tmac is playing terrible. if he is quitting, then RA has not sufficiently challenged him or gotten through to him. yao is playing less than stellar. we are shooting as low % from the field as we ever did with JVG. but at least we won games with JVG at the helm. JVGs teams had an identity. this team looks lost ALL OF THE TIME. if you could... would you want JVG back instead of watching this RA team? if so - why? if not - why not?
Don't be so harsh man don't call the guy an idiot. JVG's not coming back but he is welcomed back I hope. RA needs to do something about this, the team is going down with not even a sign of turning around. JVG was at least consistent. I like Adelman, and i am all for giving him time, but I liked JVG, boring as he may have been. Winning (except in the playoffs, granted) was not boring.
I'm not advocating bringing back JVG, since its not going to happen, but this team wouldn't be playing this bad under him for sure.
You should have put an option where "I want to bring JVG back but know it's not happening just move on and hope this Rockets team pans out". I would have voted for that. No point in making re-hire JVG threads for real though because it won't happen. More chance T-Mac gets traded than JVG comes back.
Why not? He wanted to be back. If the team continues like this post all-star break, unless by some miracle that we make a deep play-off run, I'd say Adelman is on the hot seat. I think it's possible to buy JVG out of his broadcasting contract and bring him back.
well that wouldn't be as fun! but i see what you're saying. i do realize it is very unlikely. but from things JVG has said in interviews it almost sounds like he'd come back.
No, I voted for the third option. I know my initial response was harsh but bringing back JVG solves nothing, we would just be where we were last season - Good regular season, but no playoff results.
If you think we're gonna be making the playoffs the way we're playing, you're in for a big disappointment. The team hasn't showed signs of progress 1/4 the way into the season. We've actually regressed bit by bit each game. I don't know about you, but I sure as hell don't see any signs that we're capable of making the playoffs over the 8 teams above us in the standings.
We all do for sure man but it's not happening at this rate. Although it's early, I don't care if the team sucks (I will, I guess) but as long as they show more effort it's not as bad. We look horrible. We aren't even making hte playoffs at this rate.
is it so stupid? really? i doubt you're watching this 76ers game then... because these last few weeks of games have been agonizing.
that may be true but honestly... what makes you think this team right now could win the playoffs? i know the JVG don't have the best track record, but at least they had me believing. this team is in complete disarray.
This team is too damn talented to be this bad. Don't tell me we are this bad just because Skip is not playing. It has to be the coaching. JVG would never stand for teams shooting over 50%.
if hypothetically the Rockets get a chance to re-hire JVG without looking like complete idiots I would tell Les to do it.
