Yes. Yao was playing like sh*t of recent. I have been as frustrated as anyone on this board. But I was shocked by all those trade Yao posts. To be specific, their proposed player for Yao trade. My two cents: if Rox is going to trade Yao tomorrow, they can get in return any player in the league except Shaq, Kobe, Dunken, Garnet, Dirk, Amare, Labron James, Wade, J O'neal, Ben Wallace, and argurably AK47 and Melo. So trade Yao for E Curry, come on!!!
Next, ask yourself a question. You think Tmac with Curry plus Bob Sura are going to win a championship? The only hope of this Rox team is Yao's development. You need two superstar to win a championship, besides Tmac, Yao is the only Rox that has the talent to become a superstar. For talent like this, giving up too quickly is foolish.
By the way, I would comment on Yao's poor game of recent. First, Yao is a player who lives on his scoring and relys too much on his teammeats. He is not effective without the ball. This season the offense was not through Yao as often as before. So he struggled. Second, as everyone can see, Yao has not taken many jump shot this season, and for this reason when he wanted to jump shoot, he missed. Third, we often see Yao banging in the paint for position or rebound, and we all knew Yao's not good at these things. Yao was playing to all his disadvantage, so he was ugly. My point of view is, Rox has two reason to do these. On one hand the Rox is trying to develop Yao on his weakness, so he can be effective without the ball, physical play in the paint including dunk and rebound. On the other hand, who else than Yao is going to do this in this team?? So expect a much better Yao when he has learned more and when the off season when Rox get a hard nose rebounder.
Apparently, Yao is not leaving soon. So why not stop all those Yao trade thread and start something like how to develop Yao. Let me start a simple one. LET THE GUY PLAY MORE!!! I do not mean time, I mean play-by-play. Turnovers. Yes I know turnovers will be high. But why not let the guy play a few high score and high turnover games and train him through it. Yao has never been given enough chance for his offense. And look at Tmac, he average only like 16 at his third year when he left Torono, and after 4 years in Olando, how great he has become. So play Yao, play!play!play!

Using paragraphs would make it much easier to read your points....I only mention this to you cause for the most part...they are good points.

If it helps any....there are really very few true Rockets fans that want to trade yao...and they are just blind to why Yao should remain a Rocket...

Feel free to ignore them...I guarantee you that Rockets management will....

As far as development goes....I think they are doing it right....they have surrounded him with players that can help spread the floor so that all the defenders have to choose between doubling or tripling Yao and getting burned...or allolwing Yao to kill them when Yao is single covered

the biggest problem right now is thatYao is unable to consistently sink the shots he is given....no worries...he is in a slump...he will get over it...as long as the rest of the team steps up and takes care of business...I can live with it.

Having Yao on the floor still helps the team even if he isnt playing as well as he is able.....knowledgable fans and the professionals in the Rockets management know this....they also know that it is a giventhat Yao is who we want to keep in the middle....I have zero fear that they will do anything to make Yao want to leave....

Looks like Rockets can beat teams like Spurs even without Yao. Why don't trade Yao for some players who don't deserve or don't want a max contract, and save Les some money.

why dont you go away.......or at least quit posting....

you are one of the worst kind of posters here....you want them to get rid of him so that the team in your area can get him....admit it.
Its either that or you are one of those that thinks that Yao could do so much better somewhere else..and make you feel good cause he is your race....which is it?

its either that...or you are just plain ignorant.

Like I said above...Yao is a valuable piece of this team...even when he isnt doing as well as he can...open your eyes or shut your mouth...your choice

The Rockets scored 73 points tonight. If thats success "without Yao" then lets get rid of Yao. It was our defensive intensity and Tmac's ability to take over a game that won the game for us.

If yao is traded for Odom i would hunt down CD, and there will be hell to pay!!! and i aint a YOF. that porposal was byond pathetic. he might be struggling, but i think with his Value and Market appeal, we could at the very least get someone like elton brand or so....

Regardless of whether or not he is scoring tons right now, he still demands alot of attention whenever he touches the ball.

It's only a matter of time before Yao can find his groove again.

Yao will never, ever be traded as long as Les owns the team. You haters might as well get used to it.

I agree totally. Why don't the ops just make it a rule that no more new "Trade Yao" or "Trade TMac" threads are allowed here. Since those 2 will be our core for years to come and IMO CD and co. are not one bit less intelligent than many of us here.

Don't get me wrong I respect the freedom of speech but it should be only to a certain content. Just like we are supposed to have freedom of action too but any time you killed someone you committed a crime! Those silly posts make people suffer to death.

oh and here goes my first and probably the last amazing trade idea: since twolves are struggling and Kandi is suspended, can we lure them to trade Garnett for Wards and Taylor?:p

Eventhough i staying in Los angeles but still i do want Yao always plays for Rox until he retire. Pls stop trading Yao else where. He is the one who makes me like to watch NBA and love the Rox organazation from the start i watch NBA. Now, i love more and more everything that related to Rockets (Players, Coaches, Staffs, Rox Fans and the beautiful Toyota Center that i never been before). :)

IMO, if Rox is going to trade Yao tomorrow, they're sure to get in return including Amare, Wade, Ben Wallace, Melo and arguably Shaq coz he's over the hill regardless of his top max contract.

What are you stupid....so basically you just turn the rocks into lakers and lakers into rocks cuz u got kobe and tmac at both places. And oh yes we should be glad to have offers like these because LA is doing oh so much better than us.

I'd like to add that even though Yao has struggled lately, teams have not backed away from him. They are still watching him closely, and a large part of their defensive schemes against the Rockets involves trying to stop him.

This alone has to be a great help to the perimeter players on the Rockets.

Posted this in another thread, but it fits here just the same.

This is in response to Charvo's "Trade" idea...
