Alton is a powerful player that can add depth to the 4or5. He is a hometown boy and would fit in well in JVG's system.

    bring alton home!! :) :) :)

first post, eh? this kids got a bright future in the CC bbs.

it definitely wouldn't hurt to bring alton to the rockets. we wouldn't have to pay him anything, and he has a lot of potential. equivalent to a tito maddox of last year. no risk, can put on injured reserve if need be.

Terrence Morris is better, and we apparently don't even want him. Pass.

Being a Milby High and UH alum I think Ford's has a long way to go. He is still very raw. He has the size just not the skills that can help a team right away. He would have benefited if he had stayed in school.

He would simply take minutes away from EG and Mo while producing less. There's no reason to sign him unless EG or Mo goes down and at the most I'd offer a 10 day contract. We need to devote all our resources to filling the starting sf spot.

Alton should have busted his butt on the court and in the classroom at UH. He never should have come out after one lackluster year of college ball.

I think there was a thread on Alton earlier in the offseason, and someone brought up the fact that he was a "locker room virus."In that case, I guess he is
I really don't think that Alton Ford could help the Rockets out in any useful way. We're still trying to develop EG and MoT proved to be a good offensive spark plug off the bench. Though his rebounding numbers suck, we have Cato to play alongside of him and get the boards. Our PF situation is only alleviated if we get a banger/enforcer type that can clear the boards and just get plain nasty if need be.
