http://www.click2houston.com/news/16166931/detail.html Where do people get off by throwing objects at cars? That goes for people shooting at cars. I'm already worried about crime that takes place other than on the roads. Now, I have to worry about getting shot at or getting hit by an object on the roads. I feel really bad for the girl. She is pretty and her face had to be messed up by ESTUPIDO people! BTW, the article didn't say if this was random but still dangerous, nonetheless.
Wow, that sux...I had friends in HS that did this *****...I never got it...Hope she gets back to normal...
No defense for these offenders. However, I would be very surprised if there wasn't a pre-cursor event to the brick throwing. I highly doubt it was just done just for the fun of it. What I have seen in other cases where a gun was used is the offenders were usually in a car and felt they had been wronged in some way by the victim...even if the victim is only driving slowly in front of them while engaging in cell phone conversation. Some people in other cars are easily offended by drivers, and perceived lack of concentrating on driving, while engaged in cell phone conversation. People driving on cell phones also have been known to make bonehead moves and not even be aware their boneheaded move provoked a road rage reaction. I'm not saying that is what happened here...but I find it hard to believe someone just throws a brick through a windshield for no reason. An example I know about in my city is some guy was driving along during rush hour and a car drove up and around him while someone in the car shot this guy in the head killing him. The whole time...the driver was on the cell phone engaged in conversation and completely unaware he was the provocation of, or being targeted by, a road rage incident. To him, he just got shot for no apparent reason. But, the reason in this case happened to be he cut someone off and was unaware he did so because he was on the phone and oblivious. He just so happened to piss off the wrong car...a car apparently full of people who like prison and/or have violent tendencies. I kind of get upset when I see people in a fast lane talking on cell phones while not driving fast. But, that's just how the roadways are. Some people are oblivious and do not get over no matter what. It's no reason to kill, or attempt to, kill them. You can, however, curse and go around. If your feeling a little risky, then you can shoot them the bird as well. But, throwing a brick through a windshield is pretty pathetic.
I may or may not have covered someones windshield with melted Wendy's frosty after they cut me off. It was at a light though so they had plenty of time to clean it off. Not dangerous. Hypothetically.
I can't believe there were no Witnessess isn't Huffmeister a busy street. Also I watching the news today and some lady was shot while driving down 1960 near willowbrook mall thats a busy street.
Pretty crazy stuff...and a prime reason why you need to be aware of what's going on when you drive. Hang up the phone, get the heck out of the fast lane if you're going at or below the speed limit, and always watch everyone around you. You're piloting a two+ ton death machine. PAY ATTENTION.
Man this makes me piss about the hooligans who threw that brick for fun I want to see them get locked up for 50 years, with daily stoning torture for the rest of their life
That's why I'm leery of those bridges above 59 inbetween shepherd and the downtown spur where alot of people use them to hang signs, nothing covers them and someone can easily drop something like a brick or a rock down to the freeway for sh1ts and giggles. I saw a news report of this happening in LA where they showed a car with the broken windshield where the rock broke through and the report was that someone dropped that rock from a nearby bridge onto a busy freeway. The female driver was hospitalized in critical condition, rock hit her in the head. edit: I meant to say those overpasses above 59.
