I guess he must be if he can't get any time.

I know a couple of years ago with the Lakers, thought he was promising young player that I would not mind us getting. Especially with his outside shooting..

    Is he that bad?

I think he still needs to learn the system. Also we needed to be on top of the defense last game to get the win, so that means no Cook

I also heard he's really out of shape right now. He'll take some time.

I don't think the Rockets traded for his services. More like he just came with the Lowry deal. I doubt Cook gets any playing time unless there's an injury. They barely play Deke and Deke will come off the bench before Cook does.

He has to learn the system first just like Lowry except they let Lowry in alot, but when they bring in Lowry, they also bring in Barry to help him run the offense. In time he will be ok.

I always disliked Cook's game... if he wasn't hitting, he's terrible because he doesn't provide anything else. What exactly is his contract situation? Doesn't he have a player option for next year?

We know have a good rotation at 4 spot. Scola, Landry, and Hayes are all in front of him in rotation. The only situation where he may see some minutes are against team that have 3 pt shooting center.

    YES

in the name of all that is holy i hope he never sees the floor unless its complete blowout garbage time. any meaningful minutes given to him will result in terrible consequences for the rockets.

He's the poor man's Steve Novak, with a little bit of rebounding skill.

He's not a bad player , in fact he's decent. But our 4 spot is packed, so finding play time for him is difficult , but he will be in the line up situationally when he learns the system.

Not on Orlando's end. Ariza just couldn't crack their rotation and they badly needed a 2 guard.

when's the last time we had a big that could space the floor and shoot the 3?

once he learns the system and gets into shape, give him some playing time and see what he can do

I agree... Like I said, he was an interesting prospect ( with spirit ) that I thought might turn out to something. I specifically remember him playing in crunch situations and producing. that = HEART..!

Would be nice if that happened... :)

why do you think that in a system where his strengths (size and shooting) were highly valued that he couldnt even get playing time?

At least the rockets are utilizing his biggest strength--- Cheerleading

And last time we had a Shooter from the 4-5 spot was Mo Taylor/Eddie Griffin
