He didn't play a single minute, but he was active in the game. Standing up and cheering on the bench. He was the first guy high fiving his teammates as they walked to the bench during timeouts, and he showed leadership in talking to the young players like Von Wafer. I really like the personality of this team. No sulkers on the bench, pissed off that they aren't playing more. Everybody seems into the game, and genuinely happy for eachother's success. That's what it was like last year during that streak, and I'm starting to see some of that chemistry resurface again.
Words could not describe the joy I would feel if that is all Brian Cook does for the rockets this year. Sigh Brian Cook a Rocket. FML
As far back as I can remember, Brian Cook has always been supportive of his teammates even when he didn't play. Although Cook is on the soft side, I still hope Adelman can integrate him into the line up. He definitely can stretch the offense even more. I'm not lobbying for him to play a lot of minutes, but I believe that Coach Adelman can find a role for this kid.
All traded players do that when traded to a team. I guess it is there way of trying to fit in quickly. By traded players I meant players traded within the season.

lol Some of you take every single quote out of context. No it wasn't a shot at Ron, I wasn't even thinking about Ron when I said it. What I meant was a guy that gets traded in the middle of the season instantly has to try to fit in mainly by showing support on the court since that will most likely be his first time around his teammates. A guy traded in the off-season will usually have time to hangout and fit in with his teammates by going out with them off the court.
So true that its ridiculous. (No, that wasn't a shot at McGrady.) On another note, I was paying attention to Brian's cheering strategy. He did very well yesterday. There were a couple plays where he didn't cheer or stand long enough. But with enough practice, I can see him reaching his potential. I mean, the way he was able to keep his warm ups from wrinkling, not many players in the world are that talented. This kid is something special. He has "it".
I'm wondering if this thread is a third-level allegory to a few hundred threads started in the last few days. Re:chemistry, TMac's problems has impacted this team's psyche and I do agree it seems a pall over this team has been lifted. Cook does have a chance here in a Padgett-esque sort of way, and it's good to see he looks excited - even in the press or on the bench. Of course, now we have 2 hungry pg pups who have yet to get "paid" and it's bound to have an impact on our vets (bad pun intented). I will say that AB & Lowry play with intenstity and enthusiasm and that will rub off on the team.
Great cheer leading skills, he was making the Power Dancers look like the high school drill team. He is worth every bit of 3.5 million.
I guess I'm still trying to figure out what people have against a 6'10 guy who can hit the long ball. I'm not putting him at the same level as this person but doesn't that sound like a certain player who won two rings with us and went on to win several more. Again, not putting BC on the same level....just saying. If we hold on to him, he's just a piece of the overall puzzle, not someone playing 35 minutes a night who we're depending on to bring games home. Proceed...... legend215
i thought this thread was supposed to be a joke... i doubt he gets more than 2-5 minutes a game... and i don't think he'll be utilized at all in the playoffs.
Must be in the name Cook to be good in 3pt shooting. Check out his highlights, the guy has a great form and pretty quick release. Cannot wait to see him and it's a little bit disrespectful, in my opinion, that Lowry was interviewed, on the front page of the websites and almost nothing about Cook. I know we traded our PG away and the deal was mostly about Kyle, but at least show Brian some love. After all, we did get him because he could be used in certain situations which is good because he is worth $3.5 million next year.
Brian Cook did more cheering from the bench in one game than T-Pain has done in his 5 NBA seasons with the Rockets.
