    Nice one RM.

I don't mind if people can't make up their minds. Both of them deserve the time to think things over. My problem was that Favre announced that he would make his decision over a month ago, getting all the media attention, fan attention, etc...on it, just to make them wait another 4-5 weeks.

Retirement or 10 million dollars on the table?

    Tough choice...

There is a difference. Brett Favre was under contract to play.

Roger Clemens is a free agent. The Astros lost their rights when they did not go to arbitration.

So Brett Favre pretty much holds the Packers hostage while he decides whether to play or not.

Clemens isn't under contract, so the Astros can move on without him.

None of this changes the fact that they're both attention whores. And no one's ever ever ever retired while they were under contract.
