Scottie Barnes' early success must be motivating our guy! Nothing wrong with that. Competition is a good thing at this stage. It's looking like you have to go through Barnes to win Rookie of the Year. So go through him, young man! Tonight: 8/10 from three point land, 30 points, 11/18 from the field, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks and a steal. This young man has special potential and it was on display tonight! It sucks to lose, sucks even more to lose to the Celtics, but this showed us something about our blue chip. Here's to keeping him in the ROTY competition and maybe winning enough games to be respectable. Performance: Deserves its own thread Mood: [Calm Down] Grown: To stop hating every single thing the Rockets do Go: Rox! Discuss?: Discuss Disgusted?: Not in the least. Fun night! Thx Jalen!
That was so exciting it felt like a win even though we lost by double digits. He’s a lot of fun to watch.
He can be special, lots to learn but the skills are there. Ignore trolls, the dude hasn't even played 100 minutes in the NBA. Wait till he gets around 3000 minutes then he'll start figuring it out. He hasn't even attempted a free throw yet. He'll learn to get to the line at some point. He needs to get his man strength started, he's a kid still.
I was so giddy watching his speed, and mad hops on 2 dunks over Tatum. His three ball domination was amazing. I can’t believe how some dip shiits on this board are calling him a bust. Here is a big FU Game from J Green to those fake asss unappreciative “fans“ (even in a loss).
I wanted the Rockets to trade back & take Barnes along with Sengun. I think those two are what the ROY boils down to .... and Barnes is a stat sheet stuffer , Green's got his work cut out for him.
That was a statement game! Reminded me of this game of another rookie with a huge expectations burden on him: https://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/200211210DAL.html
If only Charles said it to Kenny again… thanks for the great reminder to never underestimate the Great Wall!!!
really? Nash was a risk-taker, always swinging for the spectacular play. But I am not very familiar with his stats…
Guess your right. Thought he had a better TOV% in his phoenix years but averaged 3.6 a game. Maybe we give Scoot some leeway here haha.
based on this vid, esp. the first 2 things on 'you dunt not know about jalen green', i guess, the inner side of jalen could be much mature than his appearance or wht he intentionally show on social media, in that case, using the first two games to learn n feel, then the third game to find back his touch quite add up or inevitable. of course there gonna be ups n downs ahead to this kid, but now we know he is special, so lucky that we have him n sengoooooooon.
