I don't even think this would have been given as much attention as it was tonight on any other day. However, the news networks were creaming themselves over the prospects of a simultaneous plane crash, cat 5 hurricane, and tornado in a major city.
Yeah, the only bad news for them is that Rita will come onshore in the middle of the night when you can't see all the devastation on camera.
the ones that have friends and family in minnesota? friend just txt msg'd me and she said her city is flooded
yeah, what the hell is with the press nowadays??? there could be a devastating plane crash... LET'S GO LIVE!!!!!! and if this hurricane did happen in the middle of the day you can bet all those damn networks would send some poor guy to cover it LIVE. i just hope FEMA doesn't f#ck things up this time.
I wish the cable networks would get back to covering REAL news like the search for Natalie Halloway's body in Aruba. [/sarcasm]
I gave a class an assignment this week to watch a 30-minute newscast and report on what they saw. Usually it would be fluff, Natalee Holloway, etc. But this week there turned out to be actual news...
