[Breaking] Gunshots fired at Mall in Newport Beach, CA - WTF

    So just got back from Fashion Island Mall in Newport beach and a friend that works there just texted my wife saying there was a Shooting in the parking lot. What the hell is going on? It's just breaking so no details yet.

    Something you don't really hear about in Orange County.

    First thing I could find on it.

    Relax don't get worked up. I'm not here trying to mislead people. What would the point in that?n The article I found said Shooting so that's why I started it that way.

    I changed the thread name so we don't get confused here.

    It's between second largest city in the country and our largest narcotics supplier, I suspect it happens more often than assumed.

    Well in the three years I have lived hear there hasn't been much in the ways of gunshots/shootings. Comparatively speaking this area is one of the safest in the country so you don't tend to see it here as much.

    I would have added parking lot, because outside the mall means they were fired into the air.

    Well the thing is Fashion Island is not like a typical mall where the parking lot is completely a different structure. It's an open area type mall where the parking lot goes right up to the stores and walkways where people come and go.

    The only thing that has come out is that it was outside of Macy's where people were at and everyone went running.

    He was apparently shooting wildly all over the place.

    Countless clinical psychologists have stated that these public/mass shootings come in bunches of at least 2-3 within a week or two of each other because of the 24/7 media coverage.

    Society's desire to know every intricate detail of these sorts of attacks helps perpetuate them. We create anti-heroes.
