So trump and his legal team were trying to get both trials delayed and cannon appears to have fallen for it. Embarrassing...

Maybe judge cannon views herself as an extension of the trump legal team?

Perhaps some of the lawyers here can answer this. How
Possible is it to get the case moved to a different judge?

Judge Cannon has already been cited by the 4th circuit regarding the special master situation. It’s pretty obvious she’s showing a pattern of incompetence or bias.

From what I have read is that Judge Cannon just needs to get "bench slapped" a handful of times to have the case removed from her court.

In the big picture, the DC Jan 6th federal case goes first, followed by the Georgia case. Both of those cases have a high chance of a serious Trump conviction(s). Trump could very well be appealing the DC verdict as he is tried in Georgia.

The federal document case will follow the Georgia state case.

    Trump's court schedule:

    Federal Jan 6th case: March-April.
    Georgia state case: May-August.
Federal documents case: September (if Cannon allows it)

If Trump loses the federal Jan 6th case, I suspect that he will get kicked off of the 2024 ballot due to Section 3 of the 14th Amendment. The political argument against Section 3 is that Trump needs to be convicted of something resembling treason, even though the direct language of Section 3 makes clear that it does require a conviction.

Same thing for the Georgia case. Except I will be surprised if Trump will be free, while he appeals a Georgia conviction, since Georgia is a tough-on-crime state. We will see.

The need for the federal documents case to finish before the November 2024 election may not be that dire. Even so, I suspect that Jack Smith will hard push for a fall documents case trial, once his Jan 6th case is over, regardless of the outcome.

Cannon will never let this go to trial before the election. This fix was in from the beginning on her case.

And... judge cannon is doing everything she can for trump to delay the trial as he wants... seems judge-shopping works.

trump's efforts to delay the trials appear to have worked... and of course, if he wins, he will claim he can't be brought to justice as a sitting president.

We shouldn't be counting on a conviction to save us anyway. If we're going to save the country, it must be in the ballot box.

I'm counting on our judicial system working as it should, regardless of the political process which is less important.

Well, it can eventually get those convictions after the election.

Justice delayed is justice denied. - William Gladstone

trump will pull the "can't prosecute a sitting president" then who knows what other stunt.

Which is why I say we must win at the ballot box. If he is elected, I doubt he is ever convicted. But defeating him at the ballot box - and then completing the prosecutions - is eminently achievable.
